En avril 1983, le National Exemplar a ouvert ses portes dans le Mariemont, un monument de l'Ohio, The Mariemont Inn. L'hôtel a été construit au milieu des années 1920 en tant que petite partie de la communauté tout à fait unique de Mariemont, fondée par Mary Emery. Le restaurant National Exemplar a été nommé ainsi après qu'on ait appris que Mary Emery avait déjà fait référence à sa communauté en développement en tant que National Exemplar, ce qui signifie un modèle de communauté national. National Exemplar always knocks it out of the park! Calm, cozy, warm environment. Food is absolutely delicious and satisfying and the service is always great. This is our ‘spot’ and we celebrate every special occasion here. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience, National Exemplar!

As is always the case, the food quality is outstanding and the service is thoughtful and well done. Great teamwork from the staff. This is a well run restaurant .

Great food and it’s consistent. It’s become one of my top 3 restaurants in Cincinnati. Best prime rib I’ve had in Cincy and ranks in the top 3 ever. There is nothing I’ve seen dropped on a table that wasn’t good or didn’t look good. They are A+ in my book.

Always a good experience. Food is consistently good. Lisa is wonderful as usual and servers are attentive. I love going back.

This was our first time at National Exemplar. The prime rib and salmon were fantastic, as well as the side of Mac and cheese. We definitely would come back.

I was disappointed in the chicken on my Caesar salad. It was very dry. It was difficult to chew. Secondly our server had too many tables. He was very professional and friendly. We had a very positive impression of him. However he did not offer a second glass of wine during the meal. We weren’t offered another glass of wine until we were paying the bill. I believe he had a big party in addition to us and he had tables outside. That’s seems like too much.

Sebastian's service was very accommodating and the prosecco toast to our out of town guests was a lovely touch! And of course the warm carrot cake was the piece de resistance! Always a pleasure...
