Le chef Michael Psilakis propose une cuisine d'inspiration grecque primée à Westchester avec l'ouverture de son restaurant MP Taverna, une interprétation moderne d'une taverne grecque traditionnelle. Composé de copieux plats grecs de Psilakis, le menu accessible de l'établissement est énoncé dans une jargon culinaire américain. C'est une autre façon de renforcer l'objectif du chef qui est de mettre la cuisine grecque sur la grande scène culinaire. « Les souvenirs que j'ai de la cuisine avec ma famille m'ont énormément inspirés pour la création de mes restaurants et j'espère que les personnes qui viendront se restaurer au sein du restaurant créeront leurs propres souvenirs à travers leurs expériences culinaires au MP Taverna », dit le chef Michael Psilakis. « Je veux que le MP Taverna soit une destination pour plus qu'un simple repas de fête, un endroit qui évoque la convivialité de votre table de salle à manger à la maison ».

    We have been loyal and longtime MP diners. We have brought business associates, friends and family to dine here, and have dined here at least 12 times in the last 3 months. NO MORE!!! We are BANNED FOREVER !!!! We were screamed at by Michael Psilakis, the owner/chef; “GET OUT! NEVER COME BACK!!!” Why, you ask??? Because we had the audacity to ask the inexperienced and poorly trained waitress to find out if the bean soup, as she described it, was VEGETARIAN. She told us it was and we ordered it. We were served the soup and it was filled with chicken pieces. NOT VEGETARIAN! We complained and asked to talk with Michael Psilakis, the owner/chef. He came out, after he finished yelling at the poorly trained waitress, “Why did you tell them that? The soup is not vegetarian,” and told us he would take the soup off the bill. My husband stated that he wanted the meal to be complimentary to apologize for the misinformation and poor service. Michael Psilakis, the owner/chef, screamed, “ I’m not comping your dinner! GET OUT! And NEVER COME BACK!!!” Really BAD business/customer service!!!!!

    WE ARE BANNED!!! The chef and owner told us to GET OUT because we had the audacity to complain that the poorly trained waitress told us that the soup I had asked about and then ordered was VEGETARIAN and then was served with chucks of chicken floating around. Obviously, not vegetarian!!!!!!!!! I then looked for our young, inexperienced waitress, and asked a different waiter to ask her to come out. That waiter asked why. We told him and then asked to see the owner/chef Michael Psilakis. He stormed over to us, after yelling at the poorly trained waitress, “why did you tell them that? The soup is NOT vegetarian!” And then rudely asked “what do you want me to do????” My husband replied, “comp the meal.” Michael Psilakis replied, “I’m not comping your meal!!!!! GET OUT NOW!!!!!! NEVER COME BACK!!!!!!” By the way, we were dining with friends, who have already told lots of people how nasty the owner is. You alienated loyal customers: we have dined at this restaurant at lease 15 times since April 2024. Your nasty behavior cost you business and good will. I was by wish you good luck.

    This place is a gem. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We'll easily recommend to our friends and will definitely be back soon.

    What a great dinner we had a MP Taverna. We sat outside on a beautiful night and our waiter was great. Our food was very good and we would absolutely go again.

    As usual, the food was magnificent. Calimari & Califlower appetizer. I had the lobster risotto & and my date had the Lamb shank. Portions are ample enough that I'll be having lobster risotto today too. Prices are reasonable. Little noisy, but to be expected on a beautiful summer Friday night. Taverna hit is out of the park again
