Server was very pleasant and the atmosphere was very chill. Would go back for the soft shell crab roll 🤌🏼

Fantastic service and food. We loved our meal. Tuna pizza was fantastic and so was the spicy tuna crispy rice. Morimoto is one of our go to restaurants in Philly.

The ambience is amazing!! I had the lychee martini and it might have been the best drink I've ever had. The service was top notch!! We were in somewhat of a rush to get to a show and they made sure we got everything fast while still enjoying ourselves.

My partner had the Morimoto Omakase ($165) and I had the Ishi Yaki Bop with Wagyu Beef ($42) with a side of roasted mushrooms in sake butter. My partner rated the Omakase as outstanding, even though some of the courses were literally only one bite. The Ishi Yaki Bop seemed just OK, as it lacked the wow-factor of guchujang you get from a traditional Korean bibimbap. The seasonal Yuzu sorbet dessert was excellent, and the caramel-pumpkin was good with barely a pumpkin flavor. The noise level became increasingly loud, so that it was impossible to hear the server’s unnecessarily rapid description of each course. For my partner’s sake I will rate the experience as very good, even though I was a rather underwhelmed.

This place is a great experience, it's definitely a cut above most sushi places, I can't say I've ever had better sushi.

We sat at the counter even though there were 6 empty seats. The food is amazing but we felt like we were being punished. We won’t return to the Philly Morimoto.

We had a booking for counter and they graciously sat us at a 4-top booth which was much appreciated. We happened to be sat just beside a 7-top booth who were unfortunately obnoxiously loud. It is a vibrant and “loud” restaurant, which I totally get, there is a vibe. However, they were a bit excessive. Perhaps a manager could have discreetly approached them and asked them to tone it down just a bit. Hanna our server was very sweet and had good recommendations. The meal was very tasty, everything….both starters and mains. Honestly the dessert (fiery chocolate) was very underwhelming, I suggest the pastry team try it again. Perhaps it wasn't done correctly, it had flowered shaped mousse flowers, some dry chocolate brownie-like cakes, and the dessert was very large, really we didn't enjoy at all especially as a last representation of the meal which was really very very good until the dessert course. The reason for the overall 4 star and not 5 was because of the dessert mainly, and the table beside us (not faulting the restaurant for this). Would definitely recommend the restaurant. Standout dish was the Seafood Toban Yaki. All items super fresh and vegetables cooked to perfection. Thank you for a nice meal.

The Chirasi has Mirin marinated mushrooms in it that add a sweet note to the dish. I don’t think they add anything to the dish and in fact change the overall dish. Drinks were good, appetizers excellent.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Celebrated our 20th anniversary and had the Omikasi along with a few additions. Our waiter Forest was knowledgeable about the menu, the sake options and helped make thus a truly memorable night for us.
