After trying Morimoto’s in Napa we were so excited to find this on our Maui trip. Amazing service and knowledge of the food and pairings. Tasting menu was a similar experience to the one in Napa, but had its own special uniqueness to it. Sake flight was paired with tasting menu. Other items tried: Duck Fried Rice - amazing and very filling. Braided Blacken Cod - melts in your mouth Bruselsprouts - tasty with the nice cut of lemon on top. The atmosphere was amazing indoor before a luau started. Elevated environment and the staff was excited to serve us.

Food and service were excellent. Overall I do think it was slightly over priced for the food, but still a great spot with views to check out if you’re in Maui! The Maui Roll was 12/10

Excellent ambiance . Check in staff was friendly. Wait staff was poor. Slow service and no follow up. We had to ask for any specials and when prompted we were provided with 1/2 of the daily specials . Inattentive service which is poor for the caliber of dining we expected . Needless to say we were disappointed in our experience.

Waterfront views of the Hawaiin Laua were very nice …. Food was very good. Not much ambience. Sea bass was excellent , Sushi was good

My wife and I decided to have her birthday dinner here and we are overall disappointed with the experience. My wife had the omakaze meal for $180, and the first 4 courses were very good but unfortunately the main course of her omakaze meal fell completely flat. The scallops were on the fishier tasting side, wagyu steak was sliced so thin on the plate that is was completely dry and worst of all her potatoes were nearly raw. We ended up sending the potatoes back and to their credit, they did send us more potatoes cooked correctly this time. Unfortunately our waiter never followed up with us on how the refired dish was, I had to inform him that they were okay. I thought it was strange that he wouldn’t check and make sure the second attempt came back correctly. I ordered the wagyu ribeye which was tasty, but the waiter failed to explain this would be cooked on a hot stone, when I mentioned my preferred temperature. The presentation of the steak dish was awkward, which a giant hot stone to cook a 16 oz steak taking up the entire side of the table. The timing of my meal was a bit unfortunate, as the waiter asked if I’d like my meal to come out at the same time as my wife’s main course for her omakaze. I mistakenly agreed, not realizing the main course for her meal is on the 5th course, I’m not sure why he’d suggest that timing considering I watched her eat for 45 mins+. Last but not least, there was no mention of her birthday or anything special done for her, despite me putting that down on the reservation. Very poor attention to detail on their part. Overall, service is a little lacking with awkward pauses between explaining dishes and lack of attention regarding the birthday dinner and potato re-fire. Food was okay but nothing special for the prices they charge, the nigiri (which I ordered the night before) was solid but was not dressed in wasabi or other accompaniments like typical high end sushi restaurants often do. The sticky ribs were the only standout.
