   We celebrated our anniversary together and we had a great dinner. They took us in early. They were very accommodating.

   Another outstanding meal at Moonraker. Aurelio was our server again (we requested him) and had a wonderful meal starting with perfectly crafted cocktails, a Manhattan and a Martini. We split 1/2 dozen oysters which were perfect and for entrees my wife had a wonderful salmon and lentil dish while I had the Petrale sole-both wonderful. Aurelio picked a perfect wine for and since it was our anniversary, the restaurant brought us a delicious dessert. We visit Pacifica every February and we have been enjoying Moonraker since 2017.    One of those exceptions… A restaurant with a great view, but also has great food. We requested a table with a great view, away from the piano, and that was honored. The pianist is good, but it just makes conversation a little harder.

   The staff was amazing. They definitely made our night feel special. But I was a bit disappointed with the food, the first time we dined here the food tasted amazing but this time it was a bit disappointing. Great portions but seemed to be missing flavor.

   You have the most beautiful view in the world, delicious food, live music that’s not too loud in great service. It’s a perfect date night. The coconut prawns are amazing.

   Great ambiance. Can’t beat the view from the booths. Dinner was great and the service was exceptional.

   The restaurant sits right on the ocean but also looks out through dirty windows to a concrete slab with streetlamps obscuring the view as well as an older seaside hotel with neon signs and a parking lot. The entire meal was rushed, 1 hour total. Orders came out of order without silverware in some instances. The food was only ok, not to the level of cost asked for. Our neighboring diners shared they were from the area and fully agreed with our assessment of the meal and experience. Apparently, it used to be much better. We ended up asking for a discount, which they did work with us on but obviously not aligned to what we would have expected for the cost. We do dine out at higher end restaurants, so this is not price based at all, its experience, service, and food based solely.

    We visit here a few times a year. Always enjoy the nice relaxed atmosphere with a great ocean view and live piano playing most times.
