    This was, without a doubt, THE best dinner my wife and I have had during our tour of the US. We came to Pittsburgh, driving 3 hours from Cleveland, to come back to the Monterey after 21 years - and it did not disappoint! Excellent meal with outstanding service, both at the front desk and at the table. Do not miss this jewel of a restaurant…

    We were seated at the least relaxing table next to where the servers come and go into the kitchen; there should not be a table at this location. We reserved well ahead to enjoy a meal with our family visiting from CA. Server was disorganized and hard to hear. One of our meals came out in error. We were asked about main course before asking about drinks. Plates removed without being asked. Limited view of city. All of this contributed to a less than fulfilling experience. I do not like giving a negative review.

    The views of Pittsburgh are the best. The service is excellent and the food very good.

    It was a delightful evening with a great view. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. There was a Sancerre on the wine menu that was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was as good as it gets. I had the swordfish which was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We were not in the main dining room, so it was quiet which is ideal. I highly recommend Monterey Bay.

    Beautiful contemporary ambiance and incredible views! Everyone we came in contact with was professional and friendly. It was hard to choose from the selection of dishes on the menu. Our server Nick helped us make our choices and ultimately, everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed their selection. Ahi tuna, swordfish and the crab, shrimp, scallop combo! The finish was the angel food cake grilled cheese dessert with ice cream! Perfect for sharing! Highly recommend.

    The service was excellent. The food was average, not rising to the level required for these prices. Crabcakes were mostly filler and noted some shell pieces within the crabcake. The Mediterranean salad and ceaser were average. The brussel sprouts were very good.

    Beautiful view, overlooks the city. Wonderful table service. Would return for food and drinks

    The food was amazing as always. Our only complaint was that our waiter kept forgetting things and taking a long time, which is very unusual considering we go here quite often.

    The staff at Monterey Bay always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your experience special. The food is delightful and the drink menu always has something new and special on it. I highly recommend it for a nice dinner out.
