Mon Ami Gabi est un bistro français classique et un steakhouse. Au-delà des plats favoris qui sont toujours disponibles, le menu évolutif propose constamment des nouveautés. Au menu, des classiques traditionnels tels que la soupe à l'oignon gratinée, le poulet rôti style grand-mère avec des champignons, du bacon et des petits oignons, ainsi que le steak-frites. Pour complémenter la cuisine, une vaste sélection de plus de 80 cépages boutique français sont servis au verre ou à la bouteille depuis le très original charriot à vin mobile. I have always equated good Steak Frites with Mon Ami Gabi. Last night, not so much. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the cut of meat or that I just received a not-up-to-par steak, but it was disappointing and didn’t hold up to my usual delicious expectations. Plus, it was served rather lukewarm which was another letdown. I would’ve sent it back, but the waitress seemed harried enough as it was with the many tables that she was required to serve. I also had the special gazpacho which was delicious.

Always an amazing experience and the venue is stunning! We really miss the Bananas Foster though! Bring it back! Outstanding with a good scotch as an evening finish ✌️

Loved our Hanger Steak and Half-Chicken! So unbelievably tender with delicious savory au jus. Will remember forever and can’t wait to come back.

Mon Ami is one of my favorite Restaurants & it did not disappoint last night. The wait staff here is exceptional & our waiter last night, John, was fabulous!!! The food. as always, just wonderful!! Finally, the Manager’s here are attentive, friendly, and welcoming!!! All together, as always, a wonderful dining experience!!!

Everything was amazing.. from the service to the food and ambience. Michelle was a lovely server and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ten stars!!!!

We had a nice evening at Mon Ami Gabi, as usual. The chicken liver pate and frisee and lardon salad apps were excellent. And the skatewing and mussels/frites were also very good. The profiteroles, as always, were excellent. The service started a bit slow, but improved as the evening progressed. Mon Ami Gabi is on our regular rota of Chicago restos, and will remain there.

Hadn't been there in several years and the food quality Ambience and service were still outstanding. Only disappointments I wanted to sit outside but that's okay they were that busy showing the quality of the place. Will return again and again

Always a favorite go to for us. We love the Hangar Steak Fair wine selection good pricing Ambience is always cozy and romantic inside Outside tables are great in front of the restaurant not as enjoyable on the Belden side street but nice that they were able to incorporate more outdoor seating. We will be back as we have been coming here for 20= years…
