Mon Ami Gabi est un bistro français classique et un steakhouse. Au-delà des plats favoris qui sont toujours disponibles, le menu évolutif propose constamment des nouveautés. Au menu, des classiques traditionnels tels que la soupe à l'oignon gratinée, le poulet rôti style grand-mère avec des champignons, du bacon et des petits oignons, ainsi que le steak-frites. Pour complémenter la cuisine, une vaste sélection de plus de 80 cépages boutique français sont servis au verre ou à la bouteille depuis le très original charriot à vin mobile. Venez pour le brunch du dimanche entre 10h et 14h! Sirotez des Mimosas ou installez-vous confortablement avec votre café du matin afin de déguster votre choix parmi une variété de plats délicieux tels que l'omelette Lorraine, le Croque Madame, ou le pain doré à la crème brûlée française. As usual, our experience at Mon Ami Gabi was outstanding. The foie gras and lyonnais salad apps were excellent, as were the skatewing and steak frites mains. The profiteroles were a nice way to cap the meal. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. The ambience at Mon Ami Gabi is always energetic. It is on our regular rota of Chicago restos.

Mon Ami Gabi never disappoints. Since the weather was outstanding, we ate outside. As in the past, service was incredible.

First visit here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Wonderful server, Henry, who was friendly and helpful. Could have tried anything on the menu but we decided on Beef Wellington, which was one of the plates du jour (although the various steak called out too). We can honestly say that we have had Beef Wellington a couple of times before (including at a very famous place in London). This was easily the best we have ever had. The pastry shell was buttery and delicious, and the filet tender and prepared exactly as ordered. For the starter, we had the food gras which was great. And we finished off with an apple tart tatin. Pricey? Vraiement! But have paid more for a lot less. Worth another visit for sure.

Delicious food and great cocktails! Our service was slightly slower than I would have expected from a restaurant of this caliber, but very friendly. The outdoor patio was lovely

Everything was amazing. The onion soup is the absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the roast chicken. I rarely order this out, but as my dinner mate described it, a complete flavor bomb. Every bite was juicy and complete heaven. If you have timed your visit when they have the Beef Wellington

One of our favorite destinations for dinner when in the city. Our table outside lent a wonderful bistro atmosphere. Love the location across from Lincoln Park. The steaks were perfectly prepared and the onion soup lived up to the hype. Delicious and accompanied with stellar service. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Service was beyond slow. But more importantly we had 2 orders of chicken and they were raw. The chef claimed that was not the case because they are amish chickens. I know raw undedible food.
