We are never disappointed when going to the Moerlien Lager House. Food and service were great. I also want to Thank them for what they do for Veterans on Veterans Day. Much appreciated.

I have been to Moerlein several times and have always been amazed at how great the food has been, and, of course, I love their beers, with the Barbarossa dark lager being my fav. Tonight, we went for their Veterans Day special menu. I so appreciate the great deal they offered. I had the Steak Frites, and the steak was done perfectly, was very tender and served with really crispy fries. Another great night at Moerlein.

This was a disappointing trip to the Moerlein Lager House which is usually a solid restaurant and a goto for us. We had company in town and wanted to take them to a restaurant which had nice views of the city and menu with a wide variety. The restaurant was fairly full. We were sat downstairs at a high top table by the entrance to the exterior enclosed porch as well as the cleaning station at the bar. This led to no view of the city, a congested area, and the smell of dirty cleaning rags. Also, there were a stack of dirty glasses and dishes next to us. Not an appetizing area to sit customers. We ordered drinks and appetizers and the appetizers came out way before we received our drinks. We asked our server if the drinks were coming and she said “That is your ticket right there” which was laying in the server area and had not even been started. Our server went over and spoke with the bartender who seemed like she absolutely could care less about doing her job. We did get our drinks and the server apologized. It was not her fault. The food received was a little above average but not to the standards that I have been accustomed to from the Moerlein Lager House. Hoping this experience was not one that is the new normal. There are so many restaurants to choose from downtown and as much as this evening cost us…there is a good chance that I will look elsewhere next time I take guests downtown.

Pre-made food in a hotbox. not good. came out in 2 minutes after we ordered. Bartender did not want to be there. Beer was good.

Our server was not trained for quality service. Table was not ready when we arrived at 11:00. Ordered mimosa carafe for 4…..no glasses brought out. Was charged for 4 orange juice never brought out. Entrees were brought out and dirty Appetizer plates were still on the table. We had to hand her the dirty dishes. Only half of the dirty entree dishes were removed from table. I bussed the rest of the table. charged for 4 coffees only had 3. Tablespoons were sticky. Just not a good service experience.

Great father daughter brunch prior to Bengal game. Lager and Octoberfest beers were both excellent. The Ruben and Mor burger were both well prepared and tasty.
