Dirigé par le chef propriétaire Hector Diaz, Modesto propose une approche de la ferme à la table pour sa cuisine italienne au four à bois haut de gamme. Le menu change deux fois par jour et comprend une variété de fruits de mer frais, viandes fines et de pâtes faites maison. Les pizzas sont faites à la main et cuites dans un four à bois fabriqué en Italie. Pour accompagner votre repas, notre bar offre plus de 30 vins exclusivement italiens, ainsi qu'une liste de cocktails toujours changeantes comprenant des classiques à des créations hors de l'ordinaire. Les desserts sont totalement fait sur place, y compris le fameux tiramisu. On y sert fièrement le café de marque 1000 Faces.

The food was fantastic and our waiter, Darin was exceptional. He recommended not only the wine but also the calamari appetizers, my lobster ravioli and my wife's dinner entre of Tuna. I've never had lobster ravioli served with half the lobster shell, the lobster itself was used for the ravioli, and the claw intact. Not only was it a spectacular presentation, but it was also delicious. The diners at the table to the left and right of us were amazed. I believe they also ordered what my wife and I had. HOW TO SPOIL A SPECTACULAR EVEING. The restaurant hostess came over to the table as we were finishing our meal and told us we had to leave in 10 minutes because the table was reserved for another party. Since it was my wife's birthday, we were waiting to have her complimentary dessert served. The customers at the other tables overheard the hostess and were also shocked. When our waiter returned to deliver the desert, we informed him of what transpired, and he apologized. Too late, as the fantastic dinner ended on a sour note.

Outstanding food— everything was excellent— and tip top service by Darrin who patiently and expertly explained the various menu choices. When we return we will dine here again—everything was wonderful!

Everything was fabulous. Calamari app perfect, tender crispy and hot with great marinara for dipping. All entrees superb, generous and beautifully presented from Sophia Loren grilled shrimp and tenderloin over pasta with fresh mushrooms, to veal Marsala, to mixed seafood over fresh pasta. Hendersonville peach torte topped off the meal. Service was exceptional without being overbearing. Never had a meal here that wasn’t superb.

We've been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed it, but last night was outstanding! My wife had the Eggplant Parmagiana, and I had mushroom risotto with grilled vegetables which was not on the menu, but suggested by our waiter. The service was outstanding; attentive and informative on the menu, but not overly so. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

When cocktails are $17 and $18 you can figure the other goodies will be way overpriced too. Had lots of recommendations to this fine Italian eaterie that did not deliver. Pizza was well prepared but veal piccata missed by a mile. Attentive service that was not intrusive gets a thumbs up.

Possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had!! The Caesar salad was delicious with a new twist, including currants and preserved lemon - very tasty. The saffron sauce on the zucchini flowers was incredible…..it could go on shoe leather and taste delicious! The main entrees we ordered, the lamb chops and the veal Marsala were ridiculously delicious- the savory sauce had a depth of flavor that was out of this world!! It is truly one of the best restaurants in downtown Asheville- a MUST try! Then walk around downtown for a fun shopping experience!
