We had a reservation booked for 7pm. Upon our servers arrival to our table we were told that the bartender was “in the weeds”, therefore the server was unwilling to ask them a question about a drink we had. The server basically told us that the drinks would take over 20 minutes and that the restaurant was too busy to cater to us. Great place, great atmosphere, just unfortunate experience and this establishment is clearly not equipped for large parties, as they were also out of a dish we requested, due to not having enough food for that many large parties in the restaurant.

My most sincere apologies for how your experience was handled as it was not up to the service and food standards we strive to keep. Please know that based on your feedback I have spoken with the team about the ways in which to make guests feel seen and heard, especially if they have questions about the menu. Also, that all team mates have access to help so that even when we are at our busiest, our guests do not feel that burden. Finally, I have spoken to the kitchen about their pars based on your feedback, as well. This is hands down one of my favourite restaurants in Calgary! I loved the calamari. It’s been on the menu for years apparently , I could probably eat 3 dishes of just that. The chicken is so juicy and crispy yumm!!! I will be back for sure. So tasty!

Model Milk in Calgary is a fantastic spot for a guy's night out! Our evening kicked off with a round of East Coast oysters, fresh and briny, setting the perfect tone. The pull-apart bread was a comforting hit—soft, buttery, and perfect for sharing. The beef tartare was top-notch, with just the right balance of richness and seasoning, while the shrimp toasties brought a creative twist with their crispy texture and bold flavors. For mains, we went with the beef strip loin and fried chicken. The strip loin was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, paired with thoughtful sides that complemented every bite. But the fried chicken? Absolute star of the show. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, it’s a dish that keeps you coming back for more. The ambiance at Model Milk strikes a great balance between upscale and relaxed, making it ideal for celebrating or just catching up. Pair that with attentive service, and it’s a must-visit in Calgary. Highly recommend!

Was a wonderful experience. We went for n new years and we all rung in the new years with a cheers! Was very lovely. Would recommend food was fresh and hot!!!

Service was excellent (staff). Food was not. Had to return one of the plates cause it was cold. Also, not the restaurants fault, but a guy sitting next to us was a total creep. Overall, will not return nor would I recommend it to anyone.

My partner and I have been going to model milk for over 10 years, and sad to say last night‘s dinner was just meh. Portion sizes are getting noticeably smaller and the menu is not adventurous and exciting the way it once was. Same old, same old. The fry bread tasted like something from Stampede and the oysters were super overpriced given how tiny they were. We’ll take a break for a bit and check out more upscale places. Model Milk is just not interesting anymore.
