Pour manger en plein air, The Mission Inn Restaurant propose the Spanish Patio qui célébrait ses 100 ans en mars 2014. I only put poor because my father had glass in his food. Someone broke a glass it went flying everywhere. They didn’t follow up with us and glass ended up being in his food and he cut himself.

The food was enjoyable but not particularly remarkable. Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant was offering a buffet-only service. Unfortunately, this was not communicated during the reservation process on the app, which created an awkward situation for our group, as it was a birthday dinner, and some guests had planned to order light, such as an appetizer and a cocktail. The buffet itself was relatively small, featuring about five main course options, a modest salad bar, and a dessert section. The desserts included cookies, which were overly hard. However, the prime rib stood out as a highlight, and the cocktails were well-crafted and enjoyable.

Customer services was amazing. As for the food I gave 3/5 there was not many options for vegetarian people like myself. Plus the dessert it can be more fun and creative thats just my opinion. However, overall service was great.

During the Festival of Lights, they serve a disappointingly mediocre buffet for $75.

The Mission Inn is a beautiful, stately and historic venue. And during the Christmas season, dining within its ornate luxury is a real treat. The Mission Inn restaurant is a peaceful and calming location to enjoy a sumptuous buffet providing delicious choices including prime rib, herbed turkey, seasoned pork and a delectable shrimp and mussel platter. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. To cap it off, a stroll around the grounds after dark affords you a look at one of the largest displays of Christmas lights and decorations in the nation. It's spectacular. Include a visit to the Mission Inn on your list of "must sees." You'll be glad you did.

This was such a disappointing experience. My parents used to go down to The Mission all the time with great memories for food and ambience. Now the only thing they have to be proud of is the ambience. The food was horrendous! We couldn’t even stay to eat. I got the Caesar salad, which was bagged lettuce salad from the grocery store for $17. The French dip came out with soaked, greasy bottom buns, and the hamburger arrived with no condiments on with the menu extremely limited. The service was questionable too, and unfortunately where valet parking used to be is now an amusement park.-small scale. The Mission Inn Restaurant used to be a very elegant restaurant but now an expensive café for kids! I live in Dallas now and this was the number one thing I wanted to do in memory of my parents and it was such a disappointment!

The atmosphere was, of course beautiful. There were carolers singing at the tables out in the courtyard. We were there for lunch. Service came quickly and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time, but it took an hour to get our hamburger and a turkey club. When it did arrive, the food was luke warm and the bread on the club was hard and difficult to chew. Both people in my party only ate half the sandwich because it wasn’t enjoyable. The price and quality, in my opinion, don’t match. Perhaps we would have a difference experience for breakfast or dinner, but I wouldn’t recommend lunch.
