FOOD: Duck duo was disappointing. Duck Breast was lukewarm. Veggies that were served with Duck were lukewarm also. Ordered foie gras as appetizer and no Sauterne (perfect pairing) available! AMBIANCE: Sat us in Pub because main restaurant was not open - which was not brought to our attention when we made a reservation. Table for two was small and not so private. SERVICE: Was very good. Attentive waiter was very polite and accommodating. VALUE: Aside from problems mentioned above, price was typical for high value food which, although served lukewarm, was delicious.

The dining room was totally empty on a Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. that should have foretold the story, but we pushed on. The service was very unpolished and amateurish and the food left a lot to be desired. The reviews for this place must be based on their wedding and event venue because they certainly don't reflect our dining experience. The bar seemed fun and somebody eating a burger seem to enjoy it and it looked good. Maybe we will just try the tavern next time , but we probably won't be back based on what we experienced Overall it very poor at best.

A classic New England inn on the northeast shore of Long Island - a short drive from Port Jefferson. Wonderful hospitality professionals at the front desk, bar and the servers in their tavern. Our dinner was delicious!

There were 6 of us and I asked to be seated in the tavern area instead of the separate dining room. I just feel it’s less formal and more relaxing. Service was attentive and friendly. Drinks were awesome (always thought they had a good bar). Food was very good and spacing of the separate servings was good-we didn’t feel rushed. All in all, it was a great night.

VERY disappointed! Mirabelle is not the best restaurant but it was good enough to eat. Mother's Day Buffet: was $70 pp plus tax & gratuities paying additionally for drinks & coffee/tea after dinner. It was not busy. We thought we hit a home run. Unfortunately, many of the options were missing or there was not even enough for a single portion. The "hot" food was COLD! The Chicken Cacciatore was inedible as was the Swordfish. The Seafood Fra Diabolo was not good enough to finish either. There was over salted potatoes and vegetables. All of us agreed the mac & cheese was the most appetizing item with the chicken fingers coming in second. We had to track someone down for water twice. Then again later, for a cup of tea. I wouldn't serve the dessert at a kids party: pretzel bites: no dips/sauces, stale churros, a couple of chocolate chip cookies & a partial ice cream sundae bar, many empty dishes, no cakes, no pies, no pastry/cookie assortment. We could put aside the fact items were not available if we were late or if the food tasted decent but that was not the case. It was so bad we are fearful to return for dinner.

the whole experience has gone down some over the past six years. The food on the hot side was not hot. Needs covers and people attending to it. Also when it gets slow used have trays to keep rotating it. The cold section was find. Clame was a nice addition. The desert section was almost none existant. No specal cake or pie. Again, not what it use to be. Will be going back again but not for the buffet

We went for Mother’s Day brunch. We were seated at a beautiful table surrounded by windows. The food was delicious. We especially loved the cold oysters and shrimp. The prime rib was perfect and our server Aidan was so efficient and friendly.
