We are North Central Florida's farm-to-table, local, sustainable foods restaurant. Operated by Bert and Tara Gill, Mildred's offers a seasonally changing menu highlighting what is available locally.

Offering quality and freshness with no shortcuts, our team prepares each dish from scratch.

We serve local produce and fresh Florida seafood every day. We also feature a full bar, an award winning wine list and homemade cakes and cheesecakes.

Mildred's is proud to say we serve Gainesville's best food! We are also in the Golden Spoon Hall of Fame for our dedication to great food and service year after year.

Reservations for lunch are not necessary.

Always one of our best meals. Every member of our party raved about how much they enjoyed their food and the service. A favorite in Gainesville.

I am so sorry to leave a bad review, but this restaurant’s reviews and stars encouraged us to dine here while out of town. The ambience felt like the nursing home my mother lived in….patrons, carpet and tables/chairs. The food was not good, especially for the prices AND I am being VERY kind. I know this is someone’s business, but they have a long way to go.

Our group of seven had dinner at Mildred’s and were essentially underwhelmed. The dinner menu was a push to a three course prix fixe menu for $46 a setting. Appetizers (salads, mezze plate, etc) were just okay, as were the entrees. Good but nothing special. The best part of the meal - by far - were the desserts, an assortment of delicious cakes and cheese cakes. The place was quiet, service was unrushed, and the atmosphere was more your grandma’s dining room than fine dining elegance.

Definitely sit at the bar for any type of ambience (dining room was sadly sterile and lacking) Food and service was good. Nice 3-course menu available. OMGosh, the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake was sinfully divine!

Always exquisite and delicious and is a great place to enjoy great dinner and still be able to communicate with entire table without background music being too loud
