Always reliable; service is excellent and the outside dining area is delightful. My chicken took awhile to prepare - be aware if you order it - but that time is necessary for the dish and it’s phenomenal. If you don’t want to drive all the way into Santa Fe for an excellent meal, Midtown is the place to go!

We shared our meal with 2 flys. It appears this restaurant doesn’t have air conditioning or fly screens on the windows. The food was okay. I got the stuffed chicken and was surprised it had a bone in it. I would have preferred boneless.

A friend and I had lunch there. The gazpacho was excellent, the BLT was one of the best I've had in town (the half-sandwich/cup of soup combo is a great value), and the sorbet flavors were wonderful. Highly recommended. Sit outside if possible; it's a beautiful patio, and very quiet, even when the restaurant is busy. (Reservations also recommended.)

The patio was lovely and the food was really good. We had excellent service. Midtown Bistro is always so nice for lunch.

They were very accommodating. The number in the party went from 8 to 10 to 12, then finally to 9. Each time I called with a change, they made the change pleasantly. I was pleased that we were seated in a semi-private room and that the waiter presented separate checks for each person or couple. The food was very good, though the garlic in the pasta special overwhelmed the taste of the lobster. Also, it's a little annoying that the price of the crab cakes on the lunch menu is $22 but rises to $35 for the same amount of food on the dinner menu. Nonetheless, I strongly recommend the Midtown Bistro. The service is excellent.

We were so disappointed, and embarrassed, after having invited friends to dinner at Midtown Bistro. They had never heard of it. We discovered it the day before when we stopped in to have a cocktail. There were diners at the bar and their meals looked good so we asked our friends to join us the following evening. I made a reservation for 6:45pm but we met at 6:15pm to have a drink before dinner. Instead, we were promptly seated at our table. Our server took our order at 6:30pm, as stated on the receipt. We waited & waited. Upon asking our server if our food was coming soon he rudely said "We are very busy". We were completely ignored. We were not asked if we wanted our drinks refreshed and he would not even look at us each time he walked by. I finally went to the front and asked for a manager. A woman came up and said "I can be the manager". I explained that we had ordered our food over an hour ago and still had not received it and we wanted our check for our drinks and wanted to leave. We were hungry and wanted to go elsewhere. She was just as hurried and rude. As they were bringing our drink check, at now 7:50pm (1 hr, 20 minutes later), they brought our food. My rack of lamb, which I ordered medium, was so dry and overcooked I could not eat it. The others ordered ribeye/enchilada. The presentation alone was unappetizing but they all ate it, as everyone was very hungry at that point. They all said it was mediocre. I talked to the "manager" again and said my lamb was so overcooked I could not eat it. She said she would remove it from the bill. I said again, we waited over an hour for our food. Her response? "We are very busy and understaffed. You can call the co-owner tomorrow." Not once did we get an apology from our server, nor the "manager". In fact, we were treated very rudely and made to feel that we had no right to complain. I was so very embarrassed by the whole experience and wished I had not invited friends. We paid our bill at 8:18pm. Almost 2 hrs later.
