   We made reservations for my birthday dinner, and the reviews did not disappoint. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Our waitress provided a wonderful experience and shared some local information about the island. Everyone made my night memorable.

   Michael was the perfect host! Excellent friendly service! The food was superb. The only thing that could have been better was the lighting. Too bright for such an elegant room oceanfront.

   Wonderful place for our elopement dinner. I can’t think of a better dining experience and food quality on the island and I used to live here. Just phenomenal.

   Went twice one week. Great variety menu. Best escargot . Lobster bisque very good but not much lobster chunks. Made at table. Very good Caesar salad. Made at table. Disappointed duck la orange. Over cooked breast slices and no crispy skin. Not much orange flavor. Lamb chops (4 ) )good not great with coffee rub. French onion soup very disappointed. Cheese topping bland , hardly any onions, bread soaked in broth. Good cherries jubilee. Made at table. Beef Filet was tender. Oysters tiny (6) . Great service with little chef treats. NOTE - if you want window seat you have to make reservation two weeks in advance!!! We asked Open Table for window seats and didn’t get it . we had hotel concerige and didn’t get it!!!!!

   This is probably one of the most classic restaurants in Hawaii. It's been here, and I think in the same location, since 1962. You can't beat the location...right on the beach on the less crowded side of Waikiki with a glorious view of the beach, ocean, and sunset. The restaurant is also immaculate. However, the service and food were slightly disappointing given the prices. Here's my take. We ordered the escargot and lobster bisque as appetizers. The escargot was top notch. Some of the best I have ever had with lots of butter sauce. Yum! But only one small roll to sop up all the yumminess. They did let me order another roll, but by the time the roll arrived, the sauce was cold. The roll can't cost much...just give two! The bisque was a little heavy on the flavor of tomalley, rather than the clean flavor of the shell or meat. For entrees, we had the duck a l'orange, the lamb rack, the special local fish and the beef wellington. All but the beef wellington were overcooked. At these prices, the temperatures should have been perfect. And, wait for it...my pet peeve. When the servers brought all of the dishes, we had to tell them who ordered what. We were a table of 4, and this is a French-inspired restaurant. They should know who ordered what. This isn't California Pizza Kitchen. Probably won't go back unless I'm jonesing for escargot again.

   I dined spontaneously as a solo traveler and got lucky to have Michael as my server. He was amazing throughout the evening with his attentiveness and special touches. And I was also blessed to be seated next to this adorable senior newly engaged couple who invited me to join them. The service, food and ambience is top notch at Michel’s. You can tell they care and they’ve been perfecting it for a while. ☺️ Highly recommend!

   We thoroughly enjoyed our meal I went with the tasting menu and my wife had the duck both meals were outstanding. Service , ambience, the view were fantastic. We had a great table to watch the sunset until the star sunset ship block our view and everyone else as well. It’s well worth the money , this is now my restaurant next would be orcids

    Aloha!! We are Locals! and it was my younger sisters first time to your amazing restaurant....if your looking for a intimate first class decor and gorgeous ocean view..this is the place...what really made our night out even more special was being greeted by Mr. Phillip Shaw...a long time friend of mine and it was so great seeing him...we had the best table...and the food drinks delicious...I live Northshore Sunset beach so I don't get to Waikiki that often glad we decided to enjoy at Michels...
