Good food and great staff. We happened to be there on an evening when they were under-resourced on both....not enough servers and many wine and food items unavailable. That was disappointing.

Food was fantastic and service was great too. They acknowledged it was our anniversary with a complimentary glass of champagne.

Delicious, creative food. A small but interesting menu, ditto wine list. Attentive, warm service. A little dim inside, but very atmospheric. Will definitely return.

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was so lovely. Our server was amazing and very careful about my allergies. The food was perfect- everything we tried.

If you enjoy a culinary experience you will like Metzgers. We shared every dish and enjoyed our time together. The server was excellent.

We enjoyed the meal at Metzger. However, after waiting around 20 minutes for our server to arrive at our table, we were told that our drinks and dessert would be complimentary due to the wait. We appreciated the gesture and enjoyed the meal, but when the check arrived, we still had to pay for our drinks. The lack of follow through definitely left our experience a bit disappointing.

Excellent knowledgeable service. Wonderful new tastes. We Started with the endive salad which was enough for the 3( and would have worked for 4) of us to share along with “bread and Butter I had the Prawns which was a wonderful fun choice….favor wise and eating experience. My friends totally enjoyed their choices. Truly a happening place as it filled up for “date night on the Hill. We went early for Saturday dinner … good choice.

The setting and staff are great. The menu is interesting and adventurous. The Prawns were great! Realizing that German food is “heavy and starchy” we were still disappointed not to have had any fresher tasting options without as much buttery, cheesy fried bland variety. The Spaetzle is particularly bland- just know what you are getting into. We will try again especially if we are really hungry - because we know the quality of the bar, the kitchen and staff- we would just check the menu prior to make sure we are all on the same page.

Literally the best meal I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked venison with charred fennel and cabbage! Bright bursts of kumquat were a treat that made each bite perfect. Our new date spot for creative cocktails and a unique menu.
