   This was our first time dining at The Metuchen Inn. My wife and I have said many times that we would have to try the restaurant. We were not let down by our dining experience here. We started with an Arugula and Goat cheese salad that we split. We had expected to have the salad served split already but we were given the salad and had to ask for 2 plates to split it ourselves. We feel that there was a slight communication problem with our server. He seemed to have a problem when we were trying to order certain things that weren’t in his normal realm of understanding. Overall we had a wonderful dinner. My wife had the Seared Atlantic Salmon and I had the Seared Wild Alaska Halibut. Both dishes were delicious. I had a Rob Roy to drink and my wife had a Pinot Grigio wine spritzer. For dessert we shared an order of White Chocolate and Fig Bread Pudding and I had a cup of coffee with the dessert. We will be back to The Metuchen Inn for dinner again.

   Perfect as always. The halibut was cooked exactly right, just beautiful. Crispy duck was excellent as was the roasted half chicken. The Metuchen Inn never disappoints. The staff is wonderful and treats us like family. No wonder we keep returning!

   One of my favorite places to dine indoor as well as outdoor! Service is great! Food is cooked to perfection! Definitely a place to hold a family gathering or to celebrate a special occasion! If you are a seafood lover you have to try the Bronzino fillet it is the best!

   We live in Metuchen so super convenient. Food and service are very good, and they have a full bar and wine list so no need to lug bottles of wine with you. Great for special occasions and date night. We had our daughter's baby shower here and it was excellent. Family and friends raved about the food. Probably the best food in Metuchen.

   Our meal was a total of $415 for 4 people after tip and was delicious. The sangria was the best I’ve ever had, very balanced with a beautiful floral aroma. We had clams in broth, saucy eggplant rollatini, and lobster bisque for appetizers, and not one piece of bread was to be had. Supposedly, the chef forgot to order bread for Saturday dinner. If that is the case, somebody run to Shoprite for some Italian bread. You can apologize that its not the same as your usual bread but serve bread. I was not as impressed this time as I was with our Christmas dinner.

    My fiancée and I had a very lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was just buzzing with excitement, and the service was superb. We were celebrating our anniversary. When the staff found out they gave us some complimentary champagne which was very nice of them. Will always recommend the Metuchen Inn as it never disappoints.
