    It took a bit to get waited on. Our server wasn’t the best. He definitely did not wow us. Food was good. Wine was good but outrageously expensive for as much as they give you. It was our first visit so would try again to see if it improved with a different waiter.

    Melt never misses! The food, ambiance, and service are always top notch. Our server, Divine, was so friendly and welcoming... really elevated the whole experience. We all tried the soup of the day, a meatball and orzo soup in a parmesan broth/chicken broth. So flavorful, meatballs were tender and perfectly spoon sized. My parents both raved about their salmon entrees. I had the pappardelle; the noodles had that perfect bite, and the veal and mushroom ragu was delicious. Loved the cheesecake of the day (pumpkin) and tiramisu. This is why I come back here again and again!

    It was a great experience. Gianna was our server and was on point. I started with the la vista martini and it was delicious. My husband had the Caesar Salad and I had the Arugula Salad. Both were delicious and nice portions. My husband had the special…the 24 oz Porterhouse Steak Rare. It was amazing. I had the Scallops with orzo…excellent. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. We were comped the cheesecake. A wonderful experience…

    always a nice place for dinner! service was very good. drinks are too pricey. menu is always yummy, though feels like been the same for so long and could be refreshed.

    Between my husband and I (and often our children) we visit 2-3 times weekly on average and typically have wonderful experiences. Yesterday afternoon was an outlier and not at all positive. We made a reservation for an early dinner and found the restaurant not unexpectedly uncrowded. Despite that, my husband and I were ushered upstairs to a very small table for two against the balcony. All other seating in the area remained empty during our visit (including booths) and it was clear there was ample room available for us to be seated elsewhere upstairs or on the main level dining room. My husband kept hitting his elbow on the balcony while cutting his steak and the house level echoing up to the second floor was unpleasant. Finally, the individual who welcomed us or seated was not friendly or professional as we typically encounter at Melt. Given this was an atypical experience for us at your restaurant we thought it was important to take the time to pass on this feedback and we hope this reaches Morgan or another manager who will take the time to consider it. Thank you.

    It's been a while since I craved Italian food, specifically carbonara spaghetti. My husband and I decided to have a spontaneous dinner at Melt, the last Paxos restaurant that was pending a visit. Even though I am not a fan of Italian food, I had high expectations based on the rating on Open Table. My first observation is that we were given a table next to one occupied by a family who was celebrating a birthday and the proximity to us could not let my husband and I have some privacy in our conversation, as well as the other family that was a little loud and, at some point, they showed some discomfort as we were given the table next to them. There were other empty tables in the same small area (around 7-8 tables), and only 4 were occupied including us. As it was our first time visiting the restaurant, I consider that it is highly important for the staff at the front desk to provide a good impression to these "new potential customers". In other restaurants on Open Table, I have always been asked if it was our first time visiting the restaurant, and welcomed with a smile and positive attitude. I think the personnel at the front desk should be trained to provide a warm and nice welcome to customers. A second observation is that, as a matter of hygiene, the cutlery should come wrapped in a clean napkin or be put over a clean napkin, for example, and not be put directly on the table. Regarding the food, our appetizers (octopus and shrimp cake) did not meet our expectations, and the entrees were just okay (bucatini carbonara and pizzaiola di pollo). My dessert (limone ricotta torta) was disappointing as well, the cake was dried and the sweet white chocolate ricotta was flavorless. In my opinion, even though Melt is not an upscale restaurant, I consider it overpriced as it needs to improve the quality of its food and service. Nonetheless, I highlight the ambiance and the kindness of our waiter and the auxiliary personnel who brought the food to our table.

    Always good. Halibut spedini was a little dry but the artichokes really elevated the dish.

    Food was very good, but Melt has some work to do to provide the level of service necessary to justify the price. Typically, especially in Italian restaurants, which Melt primarily is, when a first course pasta option exists on the menu, this is brought out after the appetizer and before the main course. Our experience was the opposite - the main course arrived before the first course, which was odd and resulted in a lot of food on the table at the same time, which degrades the overall experience. Our waitress was good, and again the food was good. Ancillary servers seemed to be in a miserable mood, murmuring what they were doing as if they didn't want to be there at all. Table not cleaned of crumbs between courses...empty plates remained on table too long - that kind of thing. So Melt needs to advance to a higher service level to match the very tasty food. Also - no one asked if there were any food allergies - a dangerous misstep that should be corrected. Ambience was nice, the place appeared to be clean, neat, and well-maintained. Melt is so close to being excellent, just need to refine the service a bit more.
