Tucked into the heart of downtown Anderson, SC, McGee's Irish Pub & Restaurant offers a distinct alternative to regular eating and drinking establishments. Diversity is the key to McGee's special appeal. Business people appreciate the quality of our menu served in our private meeting room. Others prefer to linger, quietly enjoying the evening and forgetting the world outside. We offer a wide selection of ales and lagers, with a seasonal specialty brew always on tap to please the "stoutest" of beer enthusiasts. Our bar also offers an extensive list of top shelf scotches, Irish whiskies, and cordials.
However, the real pleasure of visiting our pub comes from our kitchen. McGee's Irish Pub's kitchen staff offers top quality, full course meals and table service on par with upscale dining restaurant in the region at a fraction of the price. We can bring a variety of cuisines to any facility and can bountifully feed up to 1000 people in primative conditions. Prices vary depending on the day of the week and menu choices. Please call and ask to speak with our Events Coordinator for general estimates. The Private Room: Our private dining room is available for private dining up to 30 people. We offer our regular menu and no special arrangements need be made save for a simple reservation.

Place looks cool. It plays off the Irish wanting a pub to feel like an extension of your living room. If so, can we get some more comfortable seating? Put pads on the benches. I know you want to turn tables, but if it's not comfortable at all, then people won't want to come back. Sercixe was great. Almost checked on us too much. Food was presented well. I went with Irish stew and was a little disappointed. It was average. Not enough seasoning. Either lower the price or increase the portion. I'd never pay $23 for that again. The Guiness was poured well and my GF had a NA Gujness which was a good offering. (She's pregnant.) She liked her burger and fries. We will give this place another shot. I've been to N Ireland. I have friends there. We support the Ulster side. I've also eaten at a few places there. I know this place has some work to do, but hopefully, can achieve it. I'd love to put this place on rotation. We've only been here a cpl months and are trying everywhere,lol

The food was fantastic! We all had different entrees, and the nightly special was very good-the tuna over coconut rice! Great atmosphere at McGees-always fun to sit outside and dine on a beautiful evening!

Excellent restaurant. We has Shepard pie and fish and chips. The outdoor patio is super and the food presentation is amazing. The patio bar tender and waiter among the most enthusiastic Haversian ever seen!

Our server was awesome and very knowledgeable about the food served. The shrimp & grits and onion soup was delicious. The fish & ships were very good too. Loved the atmosphere!

Our first time dining at this gem tucked back in downtown Anderson. We had an excellent experience at McGee's Scot-Irish Pub in Anderson, South Carolina. Loved the atmosphere and design inside and out! All staff was great, server friendly, upbeat and attentive, food was phenomenal (the skillet hush puppies were BOMB). I had Bangers and Mash and my husband had the Irish Whiskey Steak - cooked to perfection! We HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the food, but it was pretty noisy. I would go back here, but hopeful that the live music wasn’t so intense. I had the bangers and mash, and it was excellent.

This was a celebration of my 58th birthday! We asked to sit outside because it was a nice evening and they have a beautiful outside seating area. We had a very good poutine fries appetizer. They have a very good selection of drinks and beers. The six of us had a variety of meals from pizza, fish and chips, Guinness, pork chop, and pasta chicken. After our meals, we finish it off with their amazing desserts, ranging from a custard, fruit, lemon meringue, bourbon pecan pie, and Oreo pie. Both entrée and dessert portions were so big we took half of them home. All of it was very good! it is one of our favorite places to eat in Anderson.

It was a busy Father's Day time. Waitress apologized for wait, but we really did not wait much. Everything was nice and waitress was great.
