Made valentine reservations for my husband and I. We drove from Clarksdale and were 10 minutes late but we were received without hesitation. Our server was Kayla? I think? But she was awesome, very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Our food came out in good time, I’m a huge foodie and was impressed by the dishes that were on the menu. I ordered the pork enchiladas, a Caesar salad, and the sweet potato crusted fish. Everything was 10/10! I wanted to lick my plate but I was so full!! I will be back often!

We had an amazing dinner. Quiet atmosphere. Service was awesome. Must try duck enchiladas, so good for appetizer. Beef tenderloin was so delicious and the Brussels sprouts are a must try. Salads were very good. Crème brûlée, bread pudding and Banana crème pie - amazing! I would highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.

Let me first start off by saying, I do not typically write reviews, if I enjoy the food/service at a restaurant, I return and dine repeatedly. But if I don’t like a restaurant, I simply don’t return and I tell all of my friends about poor service/food. I had an outstanding meal at McEwens last night. I was greeted by the owner, who was extremely warm and friendly. I sat at the bar, I enjoyed the yummy oyster appetizer and the out-of-this world Creole Ossobuco. I watched several meals come out of the kitchen, everything looked delicious. If you find yourself in Memphis, McEwen’s on Monroe is an absolute must. The next time I’m Memphis, I will certainly be back there for another great meal. Did I mention, the food was amazing but wasn’t overpriced. Cheers!!

This was the best meal and experience we had in Memphis! The staff was so incredibly friendly and kind and the food was absolutely amazing (do not skip out on that banana cream pie!). Can not wait to come back here again next time!

We love this restaurant. It seems that after you go often they take a real interest in you. We almost always get a fish dish. They never disappoint. Last night was Mahi Mahi and my husband loved it. I had the Salmon with sweet potato and blueberries. We always ask for Justin’s table because of his attitude and smiling face. If he is not working then anyone else is great too. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The food was great and the service was great. My wife and I had a wonderful date night. The bread pudding we had for dessert was delicious!

My wife and I have dined at McEwen's several times and we keep driving in from Germantown again and again. Our first reason to keep returning is that we support locally owned restaurants opposed to chain restaurants. Secondly we return due to the food and service. The steak is full of flavor and costs less than many of our east Memphis restaurants charge. The food almost rapidly appears and the wait staff is very attentive. Then there is a higher level of service. My steak Friday night was slightly under cooked and all I asked was to cook it a little bit more. They did that and they compensated me the price of the steak! They did this because I had to wait a bit for my food. I didn't complain nor ask for anything special. They just did it. But wait, there's more! My wife innocently made a suggestion regarding her entree and they compensated her meal as well. Did they do this because we are regulars? We were not upset or demanding or even asking. They just did it. In summery, they offer greater value for greater taste at higher levels of service plus they have valet parking right at their doors. We plan to return.

Fantastic!!!!! Love this place!!!! I had the fish special (Mahi) and my friend had the O.G. -> the amazing sweet potato crusted catfish! If you ain't ever been to McEwens, get that dish! Mine was fantastic, the martini from David Parks (Badass Bartender!) was perfect - no doubt! Love this spot!!
