The server was excellent and our food was prepared just as requested. The menu has so many great options that we had a difficult time choosing what to eat.

Went here with a party of three for Sunday Brunch. I had the breakfast burrito and liked it! One in my group had chicken & waffles (said chicken was dry) and the other member had fish tacos (expected chunk fish, not sliced). Aperol Spritz was more club soda than aperol. Overall, will come back and give it another shot. The service was prompt and the ambiance was good.

I really don’t want to down rate local businesses and I love Alexandria and brag about the great experience here. Our waiter would be better suited in another job - waitstaff is hard to get these days but if someone doesn’t want to wait tables then don’t take the job. we had a poor service experience that could have easily been improved had the waiter done the minimal/basics. Most of our meal was executed by other staff and our waiter was MIA. -a different waitress helped with shifting an outside table -served a chipped glass -replaced with dirty glass -never offered a second glass or refill on water -never offered to order another drink (we wanted to sit for a while and have a few but immediately left as soon as we could) -no kids cup/to go cup for a kid despite having a kids menu, waiter didn’t seem to care and didn’t refill kid’s own water thermos -weird comment from staff about the deviled eggs. It’s $12 for 4 halves so 2 eggs -asked for plates, didn’t get them until the food was gone -still desperate for water -food was not amazing not bad….not worth returning for -waiter said maybe 5 words to us the whole time, not friendly -had to ask to clear plates, had no where to set things and a line of empty glasses at the end of the table that didn’t get picked up -at the end, more concerned with clearing glasses than delivering check that we had to seek out other runners/staff seemed fine and helpful, our waiter was not it $137 for 3 adults. Previous night we were $167 for 3 adults and a kids meal and the service and food was 10x better (The Majestic). $137 is a rip off for the food, crap service, and overall a mood killer of a dinner. We debated what tip to leave and couldn’t come up with any positives for service. After the meal, the restaurant canceled my reservation on Open Table so I couldn’t leave a review at first.

A burger that costs $18+ ought to be bigger than the palm of your hand; servers should have black pepper for customers who request (would have made the Mac—n-cheese & green beans so much better). We intentionally over ordered and packed-up a nice box with wings, Mac-n-cheese and green beans, only to leave it briefly on the table. Having not even made it to Del Rey in under 5min, we turned the car around and called — only to be told that it was already thrown away. Restaurants that charge these prices should do better; particularly with entrees in the $28-$35 and wines in the $14 per glass range. So disappointing.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, even though the restaurant was not crowded, it took a long time for us to get menus, water and our order taken. There was one other thing that bothered me. We were sitting outside. The person at the next table had a dog. Since the waitstaff didn't seem busy, one or more came out repeatedly to pet the dog. (I hope they washed their hands real well before serving the next customer. )

Lamb biscuit & gravy was great. The bee’ knees was on point. I went at 11am on a Saturday not overly crowded, I didn’t get a real vibe. I will be going back. I think the CHAMPAGNISON will help set the vibe right.

We just relocated from San Diego…What a great restaurant/bar…a place where the locals hang. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. The staff is great..feel like I’m at “Cheers” (they already know our name)…Going to be one our go to places!

Fantastic food, service, and very accommodating to a precocious toddler! On a rainy Saturday afternoon, this was absolutely amazing. Our thanks to everyone for their kindness and delicious food.

They did not have a Gluten free menu or much of any idea about the ingredients in their dishes to help us order for my son with Celiac disease. For a nicer restaurant in Alexandria in 2024 I was very surprised by this. The food was fine, service was mostly lacking. We will not go back, plenty of other restaurants that put more thought into serving their patrons better.
