   One guest’s chicken was dry. The steak salad was excellent. Service was excellent. Lovely evening.

   The food is always excellent. Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding and made the evening even more enjoyable.

   Truly a Raleigh gem. menu ranges from original menu classics to seasonal dishes to Chef’s special creations. Fine dining, great ambiance and attentive service.

   We found the service to be quite good, and the food lacking. My osso buco was over charred on the outside; his filet was flavorful and cooked properly. Shrimp and crabcake appetizer was bland although the celery root slaw underneath it was fabulous. My Belgian endive salad was very good; his pink grapefruit salad was without much flavor. The mousse dessert was only so so. Atmosphere was interesting: sports bar on one side and fine dining on the other.

   Service was great but the food was underwhelming. The mixed greens salad was fresh and tasty but the duck was tough and the ravioli was watery and had no flavor.

   I would recommend Margaux’s every time. The menu that varies and the preparation and presentation that is amazing. I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t thoroughly enjoy.

   The menu is extensive. The food always outstanding. I love the prix fixe menu. I order from it and my husband orders a regular entree. It has smaller portions and comes with dessert, which we always share. They make awesome mashed potatoes! LOL!

   We had a wonderful time. Our server Bill was absolutely wonderful! He helped to make our first experience amazing. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun. We will definitely go back.

    The waiter just didnt understand us. I asked for menu suggestions and instead i was told that modifications most likely wont be made to the dishes you order. Repeated myself again differently and was then told that the chefs dont work with preferences. I wasnt understood. After that it was a downhill experience from the first interaction. Lost my appetite and burnt my arm after being told it was a hotplate... you mean scolding hot plate. Not gonna visit again unless al the bars in NC shutdown, maybe not even then at this point. Thanks anyways hope the tip added to the teams betterment. All smiles eod
