Situé à Eugene, en Orégon, le Marche a ouvert en 1998. Pouvant accueillir 80 personnes, le restaurant possède une cuisine ouverte agrémentée d'un magnifique four au feu de bois. Il dispose également d'un bar élégant ainsi que d'un grand coin repas extérieur, recouvert d'auvents et de parasols, et entouré d'un jardin d'herbes et de fleurs comestibles. Le Marche tire son nom du mot français "marché", ce qui décrit parfaitement l'emplacement de l'établissement dans la rue animée 5th street Market, et plus important, sa philosophie culinaire. Le menu du Marche se compose uniquement d'ingrédients que n'importe qui peut trouver sur un marché : des produits frais, régionaux et saisonniers. Ainsi, la carte évolue au fil des saisons. En outre, il ne vous proposera que des aliments sains de haute qualité, comme des produits biologiques, élevés en plein air et sans produits chimiques. La technique culinaire est d'inspiration française : dégustez des mets à la saveur intense, à la présentation simple mais très belle.

Our server was the hostess as we sat at the very front, and she was awesome. She quickly got answers to any questions she didn't know, and shared her personal favorites and reasons. It was delivered timely and she juggled the plates well because we ordered several apps at one time. Great experience. Can't wait to come back. Also it was negroni week, and each drink came with a little side nibble which was really fun.

The hostess, our server and bussers were fabulous! Love the French cafe atmosphere with fleur de lis and Provencal menu choices. Food was beautiful and the French cheese puff appetizers and desserts were over the top. The boulliabase could have used a bit more saffron. The food coming out was a bit slow. Their market is fun to wander before dinner. Thank you for the champagne to celebrate our anniversary! A must stop when in Eugene!

Booked an 8:30 res through this app, which didn’t inform us that the restaurant closed at 9. The place was nearly empty when we showed up but we were still sat immediately next to the only other party, in back to back booths. We ordered drink and a round of appetizers, thinking we had time to finish our first course and then order a main dish and another round of drinks. Only once our appetizers and cocktails came out, were we informed that we had just ten more minutes to order food. This kind of threw off our whole plan for the experience. The drinks we had ordered were intended to pair with our appetizers- but not likely to pair with our main. We felt rushed then to order a main course and decided not to order a second drink because we wouldn’t have been finished with our first round of drinks by the time our main course arrived. Our server thoughtfully said that he would try to time our food so that it was brought out when we were done with appetizers, to which we absent-mindedly agreed. However, we ordered appetizers to graze upon, not to finish every last morsel before moving on. So we ended up continuously nibbling-waiting for our main to come out, which took forever because I guess the server was waiting for us to absolutely finish appetizers, which is just not how we eat. So by the time our main was brought out, it was cold. The staff also had started their closing procedures before we had even gotten our appetizers, so the ambiance was one of clanking silverware and what felt like impatient, irritated staff. I had wanted to dine at Marché for some time, and while I imagine it is generally a nice establishment, we did not have the nicest experience and I left feeling disappointed by the many unfortunate factors.

We had a lovely meal. My husband and brother ordered the Albacore and they really enjoyed the crusty exterior and rich interior. Perfectly cooked. I had the basil and corn soufflé. Who makes a soufflé at home? The veggies served with it made all the difference. Who serves soshito peppers and fennel as veggies? They added a lot. The service was excellent and our server allowed us to linger. We had not been together for a while and it was nice to catch up without feeling pressured to leave.

Food was delicious, however amount of fish in the bouilabaisse was sparse. Flavor was very good. Love coming here. One of my favorite restaurants in Eugene. Friends were treated with champagne for their anniversary. Started off evening with a lovely gesture. Because our food came out a bit late, server gave us another loaf of bread. Duck was very tender. Mussels were clean and delicious. Blueberry panna cotta was AMAZING.
