Marathon has served the neighborhoods of Philadelphia for over 25 years as a family-run restaurant group. We serve well-made American classics, and strive to source the freshest food locally available to us, including from our own Marathon Farm in Brewerytown, Philadelphia. Our favorite farm to table items include our grass-fed Cheesesteak, free-range Turkey Plate, and fluffy Omelettes made with cage-free eggs.

We love food, but more importantly we create the food that people love to eat. We set out each day to provide our guests with a complete feel-good dining experience in a casual setting. We offer warm and personal hospitality rooted in a real concern for our guests' experience and we believe that everyone should be able to afford delicious food. We bring people together through food, personal connections and artistic spaces.

We ate outside on a Sunday afternoon - very pleasant, and the food was good (salmon and chicken quesadilla). Our servers were very competent and did a great job.

Service was lackadaisical. Food was good although my ribs were not as tender as they usually are. My friend ordered bread which was subpar. We realize they don’t have a bakery so perhaps that’s unfair but they charge for something it should be great. We also didn’t realize they close at 9:00 and the lights were turned on before 9:00 while we were still eating. We got the message. Overall, a good casual night out.

The meal went very smoothly, everyone pleased with their meal. Waitor OK with slight modification of dish. The only negative was the noise level, but on a Friday night, well...

I brought my friend here as a belated birthday dinner present & we enjoyed ourselves. From the moment we walked in to being greeted & seated. Our starters & main entrees were all delicious & came out in a timely manner. Our waiter, Jason, was one of the best waiters we've ever had. Thank you for being pleasant & efficient while waiting on us. We will definitely be back!

Was midafternoon so pretty empty and all good except for employees making extremely loud noise banging utensils and other tableware around on tables in dining room and really loud, consistent chopping/banging from kitchen. Never had experienced such consistent loud noise by employees.

As always, a wonderful experience for our party of six. Big menu with lots of variety and overall excellence. Friendly energetic wait staff. Engaged, caring management.
