   Usually everything here is great, but last night the restaurant , which does not have a party room or area, booked a party of 40. We had a reservation, and were seated, but the service and food were very sub-par. My salad had almost nothing but chopped lettuce and breaded chicken that was way overcooked, brown and dry. The attention of our waitperson was clearly on the big party and it was difficult to get anyone’s attention. I wish they had warned me when I made the reservation and I think that a neighborhood restaurant should avoid booking such large parties that they are ill-equipped to handle and which affect their regular diners.

   Great as always. Crab cake was delicious. Rainbow trout was also excellent.

   Our server was excellent, friendly and helpful without being overly familiar. Our starter and main courses were expertly prepared comfort food. As usual, it was a very nice meal.
