Manalu est un nouveau restaurant italien authentique dirigé par le chef et propriétaire Marco Pontecorvo Le nom vient de la combinaison des noms des trois membres de sa famille. MA pour Marco, NA pour Naomi, sa fille, et LU pour Lucia, son épouse. L'objectif de Manalu est d'apporter le goût de l'Italie avec une touche napolitaine dans la ville, en servant une cuisine italienne authentique et l'originale pizza « Napoletana » cuite dans un four en briques. L'ambiance est très confortable et chaleureuse, idéale pour la famille et les amis. Manalu dispose également d'un bar complet et propose des Happy Hours du lundi au vendredi de 16 heures à 19 heures. Les Happy Hours comprennent également un menu accompagné de délicieux amuse-bouches.

Waiter was phenomenal. Food was very rich and great quantity. Atmosphere was very quiet and calm. Service was very amazing. This restaurant takes great pride in their craft.

We’ve always had good food and service here. It’s a bit pricey regarding what I normally pay for dining out—(but what isn’t these days). Portions are great and the desserts are outstanding/unique. Wine list is robust! Enjoy yourself here it’s a real treat!

We arrived early for our reservation but were greeted and seated right away. A waiter arrived with water and bread as soon as we sat down and told us about the special s of the day. We both have our own favorites there and since we hadn’t been in a while that’s what we ordered, veal pizziola for hubby and veal piccata for me. After enjoying our dinner we managed to save a little room for dessert. Well, he did I brought mine home. Another enjoyable meal left us sated for the evening!

My husband and I took a very dear friend to dinner at Manalu on Monday, July 15, 2024 to celebrate her 88th birthday. As usual, everything was fabulous ... excellent service (with Raphael), appetizers, entrees, and desserts were "off the hook delicious" (Fried Fresh Mozzerella, Chicken Parmesean, Della Nonna (capallenni & meatballs, Meat Manicotti, Coppa Stracciatella, Limoncello Flute, Creme Brulee). I had a glass of Chianti that was wonderful. Marco, the owner and proprietor, played his accordian and sang (with other servers) happy birthday to our friend. It was a delightful meal all around. Manalu never disappoints.

I hate to say this as Manalu is already too busy, but they are great. They have the best Italian food in the Maryland suburbs. The owner operators are the nicest people.
