Le Mama's Fish House est une maison de plage transformée en cocoteraie et située sur une plage de sable blanc isolée. Des fenêtres à charnières laissent entrer la brise des alizés et des artefacts polynésiens et des peintures à l'huile originales décorent les murs faits de bois dur tropical. Des arrangements floraux spectaculaires ornent les salles et des nappes aux imprimés exotiques recouvrent les tables. Love mama’s! We try to go every time we’re in Maui and it’s always delicious. Pau Hana is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Love the ambience too and staff is always very friendly.

Our favorite restaurant in Maui and all the other islands. It's not just the great food. The atmosphere and the setting can't be matched anywhere else.

We had the most amazing experience! Made beautiful memories with our best friends ! Everything was perfect , the food was outstanding, the ambiance was tremendously beautiful, and our wait person Alexa was impeccable, so helpful and knowledgeable, a beautiful personality!

What to say that has not been said? We have been going to Mama's for about 15 years, typically our last night in Maui dinner, typically in February (for whale watching!), typically celebrating an anniversary. Everything is perfection, the setting, the ambiance, the lighting, the service, the food, all impeccable. I would only add two special things, besides commending every dish (during this stay, we actually came to Mama's twice in 9 days!). Of course, it is expensive, both meals over $300 for two with tip. First, the anniversary gift dessert is a Tahitian cream, out of this world but not available to buy, we shared one and could not buy a second 😢. Secondly, I can walk but am handicapped and we learned for the first time in years that our car can be brought to a lower parking lot behind the reception area, saving the long, tedious walk back up the ramp and steps to the parking lot. Mama's should be more public in making this available to us seniors: we saw an elderly couple returning to the lot while we ate, clearly struggling.

This was our first time dining here and it did NOT disappoint. The waitstaff was incredible from constantly filling up waters to asking before taking your finished cocktail glass. I had severe food allergies and felt completely safe between Joey (our head waiter) to anyone who brought me a dish. Everyone explained each time that my food and the flowers were safe from my allergens. Increíble! Joey was amazing. The perfect amount of checking on us, conversing with us and also giving us our personal space. I am waiting until reservations open for our visit next year. We will definitely be back!

We took my parents to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary. Overall, a decent evening. However, the service was very slow. They were friendly and positive, but it took forever to bring out the main course. The manager was very understanding at the end and looked after us, which was appreciated. If you’ve never been to Mama’s Fish House, you should still go for the experience. Just be prepared for a longer meal service!

We’ve been coming to Mama’s for a while now and I don’t know why they had to mess with a good thing. We went on Valentine’s Day and I always get the stuffed fish with crab and lobster. They’ve changed the sauce (it now comes on the side and tastes different) and they serve it on top of some chutney thing instead of potatoes. I have no idea why they changed it but it’s not as good. We had reservations for our anniversary this Sunday and I just cancelled because Mama’s has changed.. not as good as it used to be and simply not worth it.
