Le Malio's Prime Steak House a été ouvert en 1969 par nul autre que Malio lui-même afin de fournir uniquement les meilleurs steaks coupés à la main, les fruits de mer les plus frais, des vin et des spiritueux de première qualité et un excellent service. The carpaccio was outstanding as were the steaks and sides. Very nice ambience and staff. A lot of people probably do not immediately think of Malio’s when pondering a steak & seafood dinner but absolutely should.

This review is all over the board because…. Reservations at 615 on a Saturday night. Emiliano was our server, greeted us nicely and took our drink order of a Merlot and beer. After a comfortable few minutes he returned for our food selection. We had both decided on the ahi tuna steak. Emiliano informed us he thought the kitchen only had one left and hurriedly went to the kitchen to hold that tuna for us. While he was briefly gone, we were deciding which of us would take the tuna and who would order another dish. Emiliano returned the news that NO tuna steaks were available (6:30 Saturday evening). We had already settled on a second selection so this news was less than warmly accepted. Emiliano left us to decide what we wanted to do. Waived off the bread delivery and then the pre-meal salads as we weighed our options. The decision was to pay for our drinks and leave. Emiliano returned and I explained what we were doing and please bring the bill for the drinks. Emiliano took upon himself a very bad situation and went to his manager. He had the drinks comped and delivered the news in a very professional manor. We were surprised a manager didn’t handle this but Emiliano’s actions saved Malio’s a horrible review. It was our first visit to Malio’s and for a period of time, it was going to be our last. Emilio changed that with his involvement to completely reverse a bad situation. We will give this restaurant another chance….hopefully with 2 tuna steak entrees.

Took my wife for her birthday, we got seated quickly, our server was good and had some great suggestions - we enjoyed the Malios mashed potatoes. My wife had the rack of lamb and I had the prime filet mignon. Both were excellent.

Great service and food always at this steak house, we went for my friend's bday and had a great time. The steaks are cooked to perfection, amazing sides (lobster mac and cheese). We will definitely be back again!

The meal and service exceeded expectations. Daniel gave us all the proper amount of attention. We had the salmon and Chilean sea bass. Both were prepared properly and were decent portions. The wedge salad was excellent and big enough to share. The oysters were good and came with the expected good choices of toppings, though the oysters were quite small and it wasn’t clear whether they came from Maine or Massachusetts. Wines by the glass options were somewhat limited, but offered good choices. We walked to the Straz for a show and left our car at the valet and were told the valet staff would be there until 11 pm. We were back to retrieve our vehicle by 10:50 but the valet staff were gone so we had to call the restaurant because doors were locked. A staff person came to our rescue and escorted us to the security desk to get our keys, a minor inconvenience. Overall a great experience and we plan to be back.

Service wasn’t so great. First time at Malio’s and will not be returning. Will stick to Charley’s and Flemings due to experience, quality, and value.

Excellent meal from start to finish. My wife and I split appetizers, Gorgonzola salad and crab cakes. My only disappointment was the amount of bread filler in the middle of the crab cakes. Plenty of very good jumbo lump on the outside, mostly bread on the entire inside. I had the filet and onion rings for dinner and my wife the sea bass with scallops. Both dishes were outstanding. We will definitely go back.

Used to be fantastic restaurant has gone downhill. Easily the worst onion rings I’ve ever had. They were undercooked, not crispy at all, took one bite and left them alone.
