Welcome to The Magpie.
We pride ourselves as a beautiful riverside gastropub with an amazing dining room overlooking the Thames, serving fresh seasonal food with an impressive range of real ales, craft beers, an extensive gin list and a great wine list.
We offer full table service in every part of our premises.

We are a dog-friendly pub as long as they are with well-behaved hoomans but do not allow dogs in our dining area if you would like to bring a four-legged friend please let us know and we can seat you in our bar area.
Luckily enough, we are lucky to have a car park just across the road if you are coming from afar.

We are now an Over21 pub only, please bear this in mind.

We have a function room that can seat up to 60 people for a sit-down meal or a 95 people for standing parties. We also have a smaller more intimate private dining room that seats up 18 people.

There are a few parking options. The first is just across the road, The Walled garden car park. First hour is free after that its £1.50 for the day. Free after 7pm. The second in just off the Avenue a 3 min walk away (same charging applies). We also have a 35 foot mooring, if you are lucky enough to own a boat you could simply moor up to the pub.
Public transit
The 216 bus from Kingston to Staines pulls up right outside the Magpie.

Lots of choice. Starters and mains were well presented and tasted lovely. Disappointed with desserts, but that may just be our personal tastes and wouldn’t put me off going again. Restaurant was clean and tidy, including the toilets. Staff were friendly and attentive.

if you eat meat, then your experience will be good, great sunday roast dinner, if you are vegetarian not so much, the food was tasty but portion was really small with only one side and a dessert spoon of pureed carrot, considering it was only £2.50 cheaper than the huge plate of beef roast dinner with roast potatoes, red cabbage, yorkshire pud, kale, carrots. It was disappointing as a vegetarian.

Met up with some former work colleagues on a Wednesday night for dinner. Pub was relatively quiet, service was excellent. Food was really good. Definitely recommend, especially in summer when you can sit outside by the river.

Lovely pub situated by the river, very good food, we have now decided to come back for Sunday roast due to the meal being so good! Thank you and see you soon

Always a lovely dining experience, although we'd reserved a table inside, with the weather being so nice the team were relaxed about us sitting outside for a couple of drinks first. Food was great and service as always was brilliant.

We had a really great Sunday lunch at the Magpie. The food was excellent & the staff were very friendly. It was very busy but still an excellent service, would highly recommend it to anyone!

Lovely setting 👌 Lamb over cooked other than that it was OK Service was OK Price is a little expensive

Food took a good while to arrive, even though it was fairly quiet in terms of patrons. Unfortunately, the steak wasn’t cooked medium rare as requested, but ‘well done’. However, the burger I ordered was delicious. After pointing out the steak issue to the server, it was removed from the bill. Very friendly and helpful staff.
