Farm-to-table and authentic New Orleans cuisine come together in the French Quarter at M bistro, where the chefs take an indigenous approach to the preparation of meats, seafood and produce from farmers in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Three velvet-draped semi-private “Cheater’s Booths” and a private Wine Room offer additional venues for a special meal.

Our restaurant and lounge are conveniently located on the third floor lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

Packages are $225 per house and include (1) Gingerbread House, decorating essentials, 2 aprons, 2 chef hats and holiday refreshments. Thanksgiving dinner was inconsistent with advertised offering. No music, no dessert station, no champagne, family style offering for 2 diners was too much mediocre food. Seafood appetizers were skimpy. A far cry from Thanksgiving dinners and buffets of the past. Will not be returning for Thanksgiving dinner here.

We had just arrived in NOLA for 5 days and came here for dinner after just arriving. It was a fun, lively place with good food. Our waiter, Michael, was very good. Great choices were fried oysters, pork chop (yum) and smoked fish. Very good food.

First off, the food was delicious. We had the Bread Basket, Butternut Squash Veloute, Wedge Salad, Scallops and Salmon. BUT the service was terrible! Which ruined our overall experience. *No bread plates for our bread. *I received the wrong entree. So I told my husband to start eating his Scallops (so they didn’t get cold) while I waited for my Salmon to arrive. *Ordered a bottle of wine, which arrived at the table after our soup/salad and when we were halfway through our entree, so we declined it at that point. *We requested a second bottle of Panna water from our server and then a different person… it never arrived. *My husband asked a different person for just pitcher water. She filled my husband’s glass and I asked for some as well… she walked off without pouring mine. So I got up from our table and walked over to the water station and poured my own glass of water. *In general, the service was not attentive to the service expected at this level of dining. We have had wonderful service all week at various restaurants. We have over tipped to applaud the good service. Unfortunately, not at the M Bistro.

Great atmosphere, but the service was touch and go, and my wife's food was very undercooked. It was sad to see because previously she had raved about this place and was very disappointed when she took me here. The cost for the experience was very disproportionate.

Only offered buffet which was over crowded and mediocre. Waited 15 minutes in the omelette line and for coffee and beverages. If they knew they wouldn’t be able to handle the crowd levels they shouldn’t take reservations.

It was a super busy weekend, so maybe service is better at other times, but we dined here twice and had to wait a good deal longer than I expected to receive service.

This was our anniversary dinner, and it was frustrating. We had a 6:30 pm reservation and weren’t seated until 7:05 pm. The hostess forgot we had been waiting and then couldn’t remember our name - and she got frustrated with me when I kept checking on our table. This waitress was great, but this made us late to an event we had planned for the evening because of our botched reservation. There were no accommodations or discounts applied to our check for waiting over half an hour for a table that was “almost ready,” so I paid full price for a meal for two that we had to rush through and run out the door. Very disappointing.
