All I have to say is Lucas is a hidden gem! Each time I have had a meal there I can count on outstanding food at a phenomenal value. Everything I have tried on their menu whether it is the meatball appetizer, pastas, or pizzas have been delicious!

Excellent cuisine. Very different from the run of the mill Italian restaurant. Always come here after my daughter’s recital in New Brunswick.

Luca's staff makes you feel welcome. We always get the Pancetta Salad & add white anchovies (served on the side). Capesante - sea scallops seared to prefection with amazing risotto is always a winner! Dinner special - chilean sea bass - really delicious & cooked perfectly served on wonderful yellow tomato sauce. Brought tiramisu (the best) home - cooler bag in the car for a short ride home. Simply feels like you have dined someplace very special & look forward to returning.

Luca's never disappoints. I live in Maryland and whenever I come into the area to visit my mom, it is always a favorite stop. Family owned an operated, it's intimate, and casual but yet upscale. The service is friendly and attentive and everything we have ever had there has been excellent. Don't miss out on this gem!

I am a frequent customer at Lucas and have never been disappointed. My experience on this visit was no exception. I ordered the appetizer special (meatballs). It was fantastic and a nice variation from the menu. The dinner I had was a pasta and it was also very good. My business associate asked for a special pasta and he was very pleased with it. Upon my recommendation he ordered the bronzino (which my wife ALWAYS enjoys). He ate it all but was a bit disappointed. I guess I oversold him on it. By contrast, last week I entertained a guest who lives in NYC. He ordered the same dish. His comment was “wow, even though this is a long drive from NYC, I may bring my wife here. The food is fantastic”. Personally, I have never been disappointed with anything on the menu. The service is ALWAYS top notch. Young Luca makes sure the service is always 100% consumer centric. He introduced a new server Victoria (a Rutgers Student) during my visit. We were her 1st “solo” table. She carried on the “consumer centric” approach that makes the restaurant a neighborhood gen. She did an EXCELLENT job.
