The halibut was extremely salty. Service was great at bar, but asked for a glass of wine & he completely forgot. & I didn’t ask again. Was really disappointed in the food. I love salt, but if it’s too much for me- it’s really bad! Too pricey & booked up for that. 2nd time there & probably won’t go back.

Perfect setting for an anniversary celebration! Stellar service from start to finish, wonderful atmosphere and absolutely delicious dishes. L’Opossum never disappoints for a special night out. 10 stars if I could give them.

My wife wanted to go there for years. For her birthday this year I was able to get a reservation albeit a late one. Very cozy restaurant so I can see why it's hard to get a reservation as it's a very intimate dining area. The food was great and the staff attentive. Definitely a place to go for special occasions.

I have always wanted to visit L’Opossum so went for my birthday . It was great fun to celebrate with my daughter with a lovely bottle of wine, atmosphere that reminded me of west 4th street back in the day and a wish come true to dine at the iconic L’Opossum. Service was very serious and well done. The food was fine. My halibut was slightly over done as Was the shrimp with the lovely perfect scallop first course. The Moroccan chicken was yummy served on a perfect plate and the couscous and veg were also perfect. Dessert of lavender cream brûlée did not disappoint . I would recommend with reservations.

This is a fun & lively place for drinks and dinner. The Scallop appetizer, new to the menu, was fantastic! The almond soup was delicious. And the two desserts: flan & tarte tartin were excellent. Our only complaint is about the entrees: the halibut was far too salty although the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The vegetarian main: acorn squash filled with farro lacked complexity and was overwhelmingly starchy. It would have benefited from some variety of texture & color: celery, onions, carrots which would have improved the depth of flavor. There was a bit of salad on the side that provided a vinegar accent but it was marginal. The staff was excellent and service quick. Overall we enjoyed our meal.
