My daughter and I ate here. We sat at the bar. Austin our bartender was AMAZING. Good wine list, great cocktails and the FOOD!!!! The food was fantastic. We had the faberge egg appetizer, the presentation was beautiful and it was very tasty. I got a filet and my daughter got crab cake. My filet was cooked to perfection. I’m going to have to take my daughter’s word on how good her crab cakes were, because she did not share!!! The dessert was fabulous. Definitely will be back!

Excellent as always. Everything was delicious. Our waiter, Austin was knowledgeable and extremely personable.

There is no question that this is THE best restaurant in Central Virginia. My wife and I have travelled the world over and you would be hard pressed to find a restaurant that even comes close.

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding!! The location leads you to question whether you're in the right place, and the outside is very unassuming. As soon as you enter, once your eyes adjust to the subtle lighting, you are absolutely blown away. The decor is quirky, but also incredibly cool. The menu options are varied with quirky titles once more, what's entirely refreshing is the vegan options - they are more than suitable for someone who doesn't follow a vegan diet. For the meat eaters, the "swellington" is absolutely amazing, I would recommend this hands down. Let the waiting staff make the recommendations and follow them. The drinks menu also doesn't disappoint - they have cocktails and wine to suit every taste. Lastly, the service is amazing. I could not fault the waiting staff or the greeters at all. They were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, again their recommendations were in point. This place deserves it's reputation and the waiting list for a table is worth having patience for. You won't regret dining at this place.

Unbelievably good. Escargot and the coq au Morocco. Great wine selection. Great service. Will go back.

We had a great time here. It was our second visit and the food was amazing again. The staff is always so pleasant and treats us well. We love how knowledgeable they are about the food. 10 out of 10

We were seated at the bar for our reservation. The bar was completely open when we arrived. We were seated on the end where servers come and go and the bar tender fills orders (shaking drinks). Wish they would have given us seats away from this busy, noisy end of the bar, again that was completely empty when we arrived.

I don’t go out to eat very often because I’m usually left with the feeling that, for the money, I could’ve made something better at home. L’Opossum can have all my money every time. Even if I had the creativity to dream up those dishes and cocktails, I’d never be able to pull them off. Service is awesome. Super knowledgeable without being pretentious and the pride they have in the food really comes through. All around great time.
