We had a great time here. It was our second visit and the food was amazing again. The staff is always so pleasant and treats us well. We love how knowledgeable they are about the food. 10 out of 10

I don’t go out to eat very often because I’m usually left with the feeling that, for the money, I could’ve made something better at home. L’Opossum can have all my money every time. Even if I had the creativity to dream up those dishes and cocktails, I’d never be able to pull them off. Service is awesome. Super knowledgeable without being pretentious and the pride they have in the food really comes through. All around great time.

Beautiful restaurant, felt welcome and not rushed at all. Lovely decor, ambient lighting is god-tier. Filet Wellington was delightful -- ordered it rare and it actually came perfectly rare, with an adorable duxelles-stuffed puff pastry pouch on top! Soft shells gorgeously pan-fried, exactly how soft shells should be done, not overcooked at all (some people want them deep-fried to the edge of oblivion, which admittedly can be fun in the right setting, but I like the way l'opposum does them the best). Steak tartare was absolute money, escargot was insane. Literally no complaints. Austin and Kendall and chef/owner David Shannon (who I was told also curates the fire music playlist) deserve all the praise in the world. Can't wait to return.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. The food is always wonderful. The servers are lovely and friendly. Take your time and enjoy the kooky ambience.

L’O is a stroke of genius from the location to the Davids in the narthex. It’s a chapel to taste, and has too much style to cease.
