Situé dans le 21c Museum Hotel de Lexington, Lockbox soutient son engagement envers l'approvisionnement en ingrédients locaux de haute qualité. Dirigé par le chef exécutif Jonathan Searle, Lockbox propose des préparations et des techniques de cuisson simples et réfléchies dans un cadre de brasserie contemporaine. Conçu par Deborah Berke Partners, le décor de Lockbox met en évidence les caractéristiques historiques du bâtiment comme les planchers en marbre d'origine, les détails décoratifs en plâtre, les grandes fenêtres en arche et même un coffre-fort historique qui a été converti en salle privée. Des tables communautaires dans la salle à manger et le lounge sont parfaites pour les grands groupes, ou pour permettre aux dîneurs seuls de faire des nouvelles rencontres lors de leur passage au restaurant.

Surprised, the shrimp appetizer was overcooked, dry & chewy, The salad was lacking flavor, and the scallops were boring with the squash veggies raw/undercooked. Very disappointing, service was good, meal lacking. Sorry, but honest review. It was very busy, full, at opening, maybe food was rushed. Wish I had gone elsewhere.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a great experience! Adam was fantastic and made our evening special!

Appearance and behavior of the servers was sloppy and unprofessional. Baggy jeans, white tank undershirt with an open button down, not well kept. They look like they just came from a dive bar. After telling him that we wanted to take our time, he continued to pester us to remove plates and drinks that weren’t finished. The dessert looked like a 5 year old made it. We asked for coffee and it was watered down and lukewarm. At that point I asked for a manager and no one showed, then asked again and stood at reception until he showed up. Honestly, I don’t he has any idea what he is doing. They comped our coffee, but he never came to the table to apologize. No second chances for this restaurant.

My review on the food and restaurant staff is a 5, however the valet parking was atrocious. There was no one at the valet when I arrived. I had to leave my car on the street to help my handicapped friend to the door. I had to park a couple of blocks away in the public lot. No big deal for me, but others in our party couldn’t do that. (If it had been dark I wouldn’t have done it.)They waited on valet parking, which we were told was free and available today, for over a half hour and left.

Brunch was really delicious, service was great, but food was a little slow coming out. Not a problem if you aren't in a hurry

We started with a share board it was fantastic. The biscuits were so good. I opted for the pork belly and Cobia. Both were very good. The venue seating is a bit cramped but manageable. Some tables are for larger groups and have plenty of room. Service was great. Very attentive and had wild dress - like being at a garage. Very interesting. I would definitely return to try some other dishes.

We have enjoyed restaurants at other 21c hotels, but neither meal we have had at Lockbox has impressed us. Our first, about a year and a half ago, was okay but felt overpriced compared to other upscale dining experiences we’ve had in larger, more expensive cities. Tonight was a similar experience. Two of us had the gnocchi and while it looked beautiful, the flavors were only so-so. One had the shrimp appetizer and another had the steak frites, which were fine, but not exciting. The last had the oyster small plate and found it too salty to finish. Our server did take it off the check, quickly and applogetically. The wine list is nice, bourbon list is extensive, and service is good.

We ordered 3 meals. 2 were great. The third was ordered as a “well done” burger and we received a rare burger. I let the server know and he said he would check with management. No resolution was made, we assumed they would take it off the bill. I ordered coffee and we then shared a banana split (which was great). The coffee was served watery, thin and nearly clear. I did not complain since I had already complained about the burger. The check came and we were charged in full for the burger. We paid the bill and left. Have eaten there many times and had great experiences- but this was not great!
