   Absolutely love Lock Stock and Barrel. Over the past 27-years we have made LS&B our choice for family events, anniversaries, and couple’s night out. The food is fantastic and we have never been disappointed with the steaks. The fresh bread and salad bar make the meal such a value. Our servers have always been consistently attentive over the years. There are a lot of choices for steak joints in Boise, we choose LS&B, never pretentious, always delicious!

   I recently visited Lock Stock and Barrel and had a rather frustrating experience with my meal. I ordered a steak and was very specific about how I wanted it cooked, but unfortunately, it was not prepared to my liking. In fact, I had to send it back three times. Each time, I explained in detail how I wanted it cooked, yet the kitchen seemed unable to get it right. To make matters worse, the waiter argued with me about how the steak was supposed to be cooked, rather than simply acknowledging my preference. This added unnecessary tension to the situation, and it was disappointing to not feel heard. On a positive note, the drinks were always filled promptly, and the service was on time with reasonable timing between courses. While the service staff was generally attentive, the issue with the steak really overshadowed the overall experience. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and works on improving their communication in the kitchen, as it’s important to respect customers’ preferences.

   Always my go to for steak in Boise but felt like things have gone downhill a bit.

   Delicious food! From the salad and soup bar to the Prime Rib it was all amazing. The Prime Rib was tender and done to perfection! The waitress was fantastic and was immediately trying to meet our needs. We have gone on a Wednesday and a Saturday. On Wednesday it was quiet and easy to carry on a conversation. Saturday at 5 pm was much noisier and harder to hear each other speak. Overall, this place is fabulous!

    We hadn't eaten here for a long time. We were so impressed this time with the service, quality of the food ( still the best prime rib and clam chowder), the friendliness of all the staff, the reasonable prices, as well as a noise level low enough to have a conversation without shouting. We will definitely be back!
