Massive wooden door, old bricks and rustic beams of Harrisonburg’s old City Produce Exchange building, the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience at The LOCAL Chop & Grill House. Our menu features fresh, hand-selected, LOCAL and seasonal foods prepared with a progressive flair.
Farm to Table is the mainstay of our eating philosophy. That’s why we work with community food producers to support organic, sustainable, LOCAL farms, and put the finest, freshest foods on the table for you. We love going to this restaurant. This time, however, the food came a little to quick even after we had in our notes that we like to take our time.

The server we had was great! And the food and drinks were good as well. The Mac and cheese was so good and unique made we goat cheese! Delish!

We had a party of 8 celebrating my father-in-law's 90th birthday. Three generations of diners, all delighted with their meals, the service, and the ambiance. Most of us had steaks. We drank wine and several different mixed drinks. And we had desserts. Everything was wonderful! Thank you!

One of the best restaurants in Harrisonburg. Consistently excellent food. The chef's touch with soups is particularly adept. The filet mignon is always great. Had Scottish salmon this time and was perfectly prepared.

Really enjoyed the bread and the duck. Steaks were so so. The Mac n cheese was really good along with the fries.

Everything was excellent, start to finish. We were greeted promptly & warmly by the hostess. Our table was ready, even though they were extremely busy on a Saturday evening. Our server, Chris, explained everything we might possibly want to know about the menu, including cocktails, wines, sides & desserts. Our meals (Wahoo & NY strip steak) were delightful. The pace of dining was leisurely; do not go here if you want fast food. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last.

Interesting venue, a little loud but not bad. Food was very good and some unique items (Alligator Soup). Steak was perfectly cooked. Great Bread and service was good, not exceptional (a little on the slow side). Overall I would recommend!
