Both my husband and I have lost a significant amount of weight. We’ve done this by staying away from potatoes, rice, bread,etc. Now, all of the places we frequent have not had a problem substituting vegetables for the starches that normally come with the meal. And in just about all cases, various vegetables are listed in the menu if you are willing to pay extra, which we usually do. The Library is supposedly the same. It says on their menu you may upgrade to s Signature side item which includes broccoli. However, this is our third visit where my husband asked to substitute broccoli and was told he can’t because “it’s not available, and shouldn’t be on the menu anymore”, which wouldn’t be a problem except that right there in the salad bar was a full tray of broccoli florets! If you have it on the salad bar, you mean to tell me you can’t grab a cup and lightly steam it for a customer’s dinner? Needless to say, we are less than inclined to return if they are not willing to accommodate their customer’s request. And as I said, it was listed on the menu!!!

We came for my wife’s birthday, the food was great. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet. Our party had a very nice time. I had no issue with food and when we came in it wasn’t busy. After ordering and receiving our food, I have to search out and flag down my waitress who was engaged on her phone behind the hostess’ desk. She had forgotten to bring me my creamy horseradish sauce. I had waited several minutes, continuously looking around for her. She didn’t bring the food to the table, but she didn’t stop by to make sure we had everything or that everything was correct. After she brought the sauce, she was a tiny bit more conscientious. But the time the food comes out and to have everything you need to eat your food, should be the most timely aspect of your meal. Your food shouldn’t be getting cold waiting for what you ordered.

I booked our reservation online for 6pm. Arrived at that time and another couple were behind us. Checked in and was told to wait, the other couple didn't have a reservation and the host chose to seat them while we were still standing there. First issue. Finally was seated and our server was exceptionally nice and very helpful. No issues. Ordered our drinks and entree and that's when things turned. Customers arriving after us received their orders while we just sat there. Finally, our poor server had to come and inform us that, apparently poor kitchen management, orders after ours were taken. I would have hoped at that point that the manager would have at the very least come over and apologize. Nothing. While the food is fantastic, I'm starting to see lower expectations from some employees. As I stated, our server was exceptional. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, thankfully we still enjoyed our evening.

We went for my son’s 15th birthday. I made a clear on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. My son, excited to have a birthday at a nice restaurant, made sure that he left his gift bag on the table so that the waitress would remember it was his birthday. We stayed and had dessert. There was no mention of his birthday by the staff. He was very disappointed

Keeping Alive The Steak & Salad Bar Tradition! This was my second trip to LIbrary IV and it's exactly what we wanted: Simple steak and salad bar. It reminds me of the traditional restaurants my parents would take us to when we were kids. A very basic menu with just enough items to give something different with each visit. And you can't beat the drink prices! Library IV, keep it up!

This used to be a great place for a steak dinner but now the quality has gone way down. The food portions are small, the prices are high and service the last 2 times I’ve eaten here has been terrible. This may have been the last time for a long while.
