Waiter and food were excellent, 10 out of 10, but we arrived at 7:30 for dinner and before we even got dessert an hour later, they were clearing tables around us, moving tables, pulling tablecloths and getting settings to get ready for breakfast, in the next room they turned on the bright lights and started wrapping up as well. Very distracting and just plain rude, were supposed to enjoy some slow food at the best restaurant in RVA, but this was a major faux pas.

The service was perfect - friendly, helpful, not pushy. Drinks and food came quickly but we weren't rushed. Recommendations were spot on. 5 out of 5.

I have eaten here many times over the years, this was our first sub standard visit. First on the service, our waitress dumped the half can of beer into my glass. The beer foamed up and went all over the tablecloth. She cleaned the spill but never apologized or offered to replace the spilled beer. The rest of the glass was all foam. Not the service I expect or typically get at Lemaire. The entree portion was very small and the lettuces in the salad were all stems. I’ll go back but this visit very disappointing.
