Very enjoyable & tasty lunch at one of Richmond finest restaurants. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich.

Dining in one of the most beautiful hotels in the world should be extraordinary and it was. Superb gracious service with a creative menu of absolutely delicious food. Our four party group ordered four different meals and each of us raved about our selection. The wine list is massive, but logically organized and easy to find your favorites or make new discoveries.

Jackie was absolutely delightful, made excellent recommendations & gave us plenty of time with our friend to catch up. The food was excellent, atmosphere beautiful-it was an absolutely lovely evening! Highly recommend!

I felt the food was of high quality but overpriced for the quantity. I felt the chairs were uncomfortable and I sat pushed up against the wall. Service was good, but with a new menu that was a week old, they didn’t have much feedback. I feel that by the time you roll out even a new menu, the entire staff should have a firm understanding and opinions of all menu options. The appetizers specifically felt very overpriced and were not very shareable which I feel part of an appetizer experience is for it to be shareable and for multiple people to enjoy a bite together. It’s at a beautiful location, but I maybe my expectations were a bit high considering being at the Jefferson.

My birthday guest and I were very pleased with the service and the setting at the restaurant and found the food delicious and the whole experience excellent. Definitely go again. A great place for a special occasion.

Wonderful dinner and excellent service. The dessert was fabulous. We couldn't have asked for a better meal. Kudos to the chef and staff at Lemaire.

I would give 10 stars if I could. An amazing experience from start to finish. The location is immaculate - classy but not off putting. The restaurant is superb, food was delicious, ambiance is elite. Our waiter Stephen was kind and thorough. We enjoyed the crab cake starter - very little filler, truly delectable. We also enjoyed a bottle of sparking wine (Loimer extra brut). I do wish the menu had more options in the $50-$100 range. For our main courses, my partner had the rockfish and I had the scallops. The rockfish was flaky, tender, and light. The buerre blanc was the perfect sauce accompaniment. The side vegetables with the rockfish were rather bland, but it did not take away from the dish. The scallops were firm, perfectly broiled and seasoned. They were in a shrimp / sausage / polenta mixture - it was phenomenal. No notes. We finished the evening with the chocolate/caramel gateau and the eggnog cheesecake. Both opposite ends of the spectrum, one heavy and one light, but both were perfection. Exactly what we needed to cap off the evening. We were celebrating an anniversary and they did everything to make it special without it being a production. We will return!
