Située dans le charmant centre-ville de Menlo Park, la Left Bank transporte ses clients dans une brasserie pittoresque de Paris. Ouverte depuis 1998 et complètement remodelée en 2008, la Left Bank offre une ambiance décontractée, charmante de brasserie où les convives se régalent de cuisine française classique du sud. Our Salles De Amis is a beautiful private mezzanine. You can choose to overlook the main dining room from the balcony, or enclose the room completely with our lush velvet curtains. The sunny yellow walls, warm mahogany accents and vividly colored French posters make this the perfect setting for your occasion. Set up however you wish, the room is large enough for a party of 60, yet intimate enough for a smaller group of 10 or 20. Have a much larger group? We are happy to close the entire restaurant. Quite disappointed with our dining experience. Rather impersonal interaction with our waitress who gave us a rather cold interaction (no eye contact or smile). The bread was delicious but our appetizer and entree were very sub par - over cooked fish and quite tasteless.

Food is always good! Service was ok, they brought me the wrong entree, but on a busy NYE it was forgivable. Great value for good food!

Avoid Left Bank at all costs. Their food is terrible - bread was hard as a boulder; dessert was stale and hard; soup was cold. They charge a premium for a very small, sub-par menu.

We were excited to celebrate Christmas Eve dinner at Left Bank and made a reservation. They only had outside available, but we assumed it would still be festive and warm. When we arrived, we were the only table seated outside and the heaters weren’t close enough to the tables to provide almost any level of warmth. There was a giant puddle by our table that I felt bad for all the servers who had to step in it. Our main server was really nice but clearly had many tables inside and it was hard for him to be inside and outside. The food was fine, but definitely not worth the $100+ per person that we ended up paying for it. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I strongly recommend they not allow outdoor seating on a special holiday with clearly a shorter staff. We have had good experiences in the past, but will likely not be back for a while.

The steak was overdone despite our request for medium well but was immediately replaced. We asked for milk or cream and coffee and server said they don’t have cream or milk. Otherwise everything was good.

Fun dinning experience. The bar was lovely and decor well done. The live band was playing during the dinner for four on Friday, 12/20. The cocktails, beer, and wine selection were nice, appetizers tasty, and the mains were well prepared and portioned.

We really like this place, the food is good and the service is on point. The two times that we ate here there was a party upstairs so it was a little noisy but overall a really good experience.

What a disaster! We went to an early dinner, so it was not yet crowded for a Friday night. Our waiter seemed eager to please but was not very experienced. He brought my husband's soup before we even received our cocktails. We never got the bread we ordered. The sole was so overcooked that it was literally mush. First time that I've sent a dish back to the kitchen. I asked for soup., thinking that the waiter would explain the issue in the kitchen and bring it quickly. My husband was finished with his meal before I got it. When I asked the waiter why it took so long, he suggested that we not dine on the weekend. On the plus side, their French onion soup is always delicious, and my husband enjoyed the beet salad. The music was also great, but overall, a disappointing meal. I understand that restaurants are having a tough time these days, but for a restaurant that has been around a long time, we expected much better.
