    We ate early, so very quiet. The food and specialty cocktails were all excellent. Two of us had the Phoenician cocktail - light and refreshing. Ordered several appetizers which were great. The sausage one was least favorite, but still good. The hummus trio was outstanding. Shawarma was very nice.

    My sister and I enjoyed a fabulous "meal" of wines and various appetizers. The service was amazing staring with the hostess. She was very warm and welcoming. Alex (I hope I got his name right) was a wonderful server - very friendly and helpful; attentive but not hovering. The support folks with water and clearing the table were on top of things too. We love Lebanese Taverna and visit every time we are in town. Thank you!

    What an awesome restaurant! I brought friends of mine (a Jordanian couple) to DC, and we ate at Kalorama Taverna. She raved about how good was the food, how true to the Middle East it was, and how much they enjoyed the evening, the outdoor meal, and my choice of restaurant to make them feel at home. Our compliments to our two waiters, whose names I forget, but one was from Morocco and the other from Egypt. They were welcome additions to the ambiance of the evening!

    Good service for lunch, quiet even on Saturday at lunch, food was high quality and reasonably priced.

    I live in California. Every time I visit my family in Washington, D.C. I invite them to the Lebanese Taverna. We all love the food.

    Love to bring my parents here when they are in town. You can never go wrong with the Mouzat. Exceptionally well prepared. Plenty of small plates to share as well. Arnabeet, garlic hommus, shawarma rolls and the Lt Tzatziki are all go-to plates when they are here.

    The food at Lebanese Taverna is always outstanding. This time, our group included someone who was born in Lebanon, and she said everything was great.

    Best pita bread! Served freshly baked and hot. But when our food came, it was not hot. The chicken shawarma fell apart as the pita was all soggy and the fries were just ok, my chicken kabob was just a little warm, and the platter with mixed shwarma was room temperature. Food would have been excellent if it came hot. We think the food sat in the kitchen for a while until the server realized it was all ready.

    Mejid was a wonderful waiter and we had a truly amazing meal. This restaurant has been around for decades and they prove their staying power with excellent food and knowing how to make diners feel welcome and special.
