£20 for a bit on crab on a bed of lettuce was a rip off; we were expecting the crab to be dressed in its shell and a lot more than 1 spoon of crab !

We had a wonderful dinner, celebrating a family members birthday. The staff were really friendly and helpful without being over-imposing, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

We visited on a cool, rainy evening so unfortunately were not able to sit on the terrace and the interior seating, while nice, is not at all exceptional. The food, on the other hand, is exceptional, truly outstanding. Beetroot and endive salads were delicious an overly generous, almost big enough to be mains rather than starters. All the mains, beef filet, duck breast and sea bass, were perfectly cooked and the accompaniments just wonderful. Desserts were truly decadent. The wine list should satisfy any connoisseur but prices are eye-watering and there aren't any offerings for the budget-conscious.

You cannot beat the view from Le Port de la Tour. Tables by the window are mainly for 2 people. The welcome was good and the atmosphere in the restaurant is as expected for this type of restaurant with white tablecloth and relatively quiet. The food was acceptable, I had oysters which were listed as Speciales de Claires. I have had many Speciales before and although they were very fresh, so I expected them to be bigger than about 2 inches long. My husband had dressed crab which was nice and served in a nice crab-shaped dish. We both had roast lobster for our main course with frites and mesclun salad. The lobster was meat was very mushy and not firm. The frites were lovely. The salad was a real disappointment as some of the romaine leaves were rotting at the top and all brown in the stem. We had a nice bottle of wine which was reasonably priced for such a restaurant. The waiter was condescending to say the least, at first treating us as if we were ignorant diners. We have been to this restaurant before and were happy with it, hence our return. In summary, I was very disappointed as the food was mediocre and the service was not up to expectation.

Overpriced, well cooked but fairly average food, disappointing experience overall, there are better restaurants for the money.

Great food, tasty and good portion size. Service was amazing, pleasant and attentive staff. Definitely coming back.

No flavour to the crab starter, in fact it could have been anything other than crab. Service was poor and inattentive despite being quite. Mains of duck and sea bass was OK but no more than that with a heavy price on the wine.

A fantastic dining experience at Le Pont de la Tour, such a lovely restaurant and service was impeccable. Took my friend here for lunch for her birthday chose to sit outside and the whole day was wonderful from start to finish. Our waiter was attentive and the food was of high quality we ate oysters to start and mussels as our main. The oysters were the best I’ve ever tasted. Just before dessert our waiter brought out a plate with a piece of cake with the writing Happy Birthday which was such a lovely touch. Highly recommend and will be returning. Thank you Le Pont de la Tour for a wonderful dining experience!
