    This April, we set our sights on the enchanting Loire Valley! Imagine rolling hills dotted with vineyards and majestic chateaux bathed in warm sunlight. Le Pont de la Tour celebrates the region’s freshest flavours with a new menu this April. Our journey begins with the Globe Artichoke salad, showcasing the prized artichokes of the Loire, their delicate hearts paired with the creamy tang of St. Maure goat cheese. We then dive into the region’s bountiful rivers with our Monkfish Beurre Blanc. Here, the Loire’s famed white fish is bathed in a velvety sauce, enriched with mussels, cockles, and a hint of sea salt, all paired with the wine from the same region. Discover the diverse flavours that make French cuisine beloved the world over!

    I was sorry to see how much service has deteriorated in this place. The service staff did the absolute bare minimum. There was 0 genuine interest or care. I ordered an expensive bottle of champagne which took 20 minutes to arrive, the starters were served before the champagne. I had made a note in my booking that we were celebrating anniversary - there was absolutely no acknowledgment of this. The food was good, the views were great as we knew they would be but for £400 bill for two people the service was an absolute let down.

    Food was good not exceptional Service was good until towards the end when most of the staff seemed to disappear! We ordered a coffee which never arrived so I cancelled the order and asked for the bill. On reviewing the bill to make sure that the 5 pounds had been taken off for the coffee I discovered that it hadn't and that we had been charged 65 pounds for a bottle of wine that we hadn't had. We didn't have a bottle of wine at all so very odd that this was added. So I felt the staff let the experience down towards the end but otherwise an enjoyable afternoon

    Terrible experience on all fronts. Only good thing was the view, which you had nothing to do with. Extremely slow drink service to throughout. Menu was put on the table, print was blurry, no care in presentation. Only when they came to take the order was I told that the mussels and lobster that I was looking forward to eating, had run out !! One, why not say straight away, 2, how do you run out at 8pm on a Friday night!!! The sommelier then tried to fob us off with a wine we hadn’t ordered, definitely underhand, then proceeded again to tell us that the wine we wanted, he didn’t have. Food was average at best. Price for 4 of us was £500, disgrace Will certainly never come back

    Good value and good position by the river,nice table in the shade on a very hot day. Service was good but a little slow at times, food was good and we also managed to find a nice Rose wine for a good price. Would definitely recommend the set menu for value and you also get a glass of Prosecco thrown in.

    Lovely setting overlooking tower bridge on a sunny day so what’s not to like. We had a late lunch booked at 2pm. Service was a little slow considering the restaurant wasn’t full. Food good but not amazing. One of us had the menu which is very good value, 3 courses and a glass of bubbly for £35. On the whole a good experience and we we were not in a hurry. Our waiter was very polite and professional so not sure if the kitchen had an issue. I would still go back, everyone has an off day!

    If you want a great view of Tower Bridge and don't mind spending 3.5 hours from getting a menu to paying one's bill, then this is the place for you. The food is fine, but a bit overpriced (which is understandable given the location). Really it's just the service that is incredibly slow.
