Le Café du Marché est un restaurant français situé au cœur de Smithfield. En fait, l'établissement vous propose trois restaurants. Vous le trouverez au bout de l'allée en pierres, à environ 36 mètres du Charterhouse Square et de la rue Charterhouse. Le Café est ouvert pour le dîner du lundi au vendredi (de midi à 14h30) et pour le souper du lundi au samedi (de 18h à 22h). Le Café, situé au rez-de-chaussée, est le restaurant principal. Il sert une cuisine française principalement de province. Vous trouverez à l'étage Le Grenier, un restaurant similaire qui met l'accent sur les grillades. Le Rendez-vous, la brasserie, est situé au coin de la rue Charterhouse. L'établissement est ouvert depuis près de 25 ans. A gastronomic haven tucked away in busy Farringdon which still retains its charm, ambience and commitment to great cuisine and service. One of my favourites!

A very good lunch with lots of French Classical dishes prepared and cooked very well. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the ambience relaxed and not too noisy. Wine list short but comprehensive and not over priced. Good restaurant for lunch or dinner.

I booked this for a business lunch for a colleague and they both thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. The food was great and the service exceptional. I will definitely be booking this again for future business lunches.

We had the pleasure to dine at this restaurant and the atmosphere was very romantic, french cozy vibes with candles, tablecloth and live blues. The place is very cute with bricks finish and wooden ceiling. Food was very good, we enjoyed every course we had, especially the calf’s liver. We met really friendly and caring waiters. Definitely recommended!

All six of us really enjoyed our meal here. Well thought out menu and beautifully cooked and presented food. We liked the idea of a set price - ideal for group dining. Wine was well priced too and the pianist delightful. We will be back

A unique eating place in that it appears not to be part of a chain. Lovely old building in a very attractive location just minutes from Barbican tube

Lovely stylish restaurant with proper quality service - great attention to the details I personally have bug bears about ( hot good coffee, hot plates etc) . The food was excellent - it is pricey but if you want good staff and excellent cooks then that’s what it is then !
