    Every time I have visited the Gamekeeper I have always received a very warm welcome from the staff. They work hard to help you feel comfortable and enjoy your experience. The lady who greets at the bar is outstanding at this. The food is excellent , and the ambience is beautiful. It is the perfect country pub experience. I highly recommend it.

    Great welcome, asked if you had booked showed us to a choice of two tables, took our drinks order which arrived quickly, came back shortly took out meal order, not rushed but all done efficiently the place was half full but our meals arrived promptly we were both pleasantly surprised with the amount and how well it was all cooked, 10/10 for service and food and went up a notch when we got the bill. The drinks were very reasonable, it was a very pleasant experience, this was our second visit and will go again, 👏👏

    Always great to drop in on The Boars and even better when it’s for a £12 Tuesday deal! Beef bourguignon followed by Tarte Tatin with a lovely glass of red. The pub was busy - it always is - and is our go to local for a great meal out. Book a table if you can. You won’t regret it!
