Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham. Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy. Food is cooked by a talented team of chefs and served by friendly, professional team of staff.Due to the style of cooking we cannot produce dairy free menus & therefore cannot provide vegan options.A deposit is required to make reservations on special days of the year, on our special events, or for tables of 6 or more. Where to start!! Our whole evening was a delight in both food and ambience from start to finish. Arthur is a wonder. His ever changing menu using locally sourced produce is delightful We were a group of 4 and we ordered everything on the menu! So many different tastes and textures but all complementing each other. Definite North African vibe and delicious. Food comes when ready and if made for sharing. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I love the eclectic tableware and interior design. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. See you soon.

We had dinner here twice and it was wonderful . Michele was our server and she terrific , food delicious . It’s upscale in a cozy warm setting …. We had the beef bourgignon which was served with mashies and was a winner . There was a fresh fish option also . You will not be disappointed .
