Located on High Holborn, close to the British Museum, the restaurant is elegantly designed and filled with original Indian art and antique furniture including century old items made for Maharajas which take diners on a journey through Indian culture and history. The menu reflects regional accents with a contemporary viewpoint. It is food that observes the established traditions of Indian cooking but breaks the rules a little by Executive Chef Sohan Bhandari. Depuis plus d'un demi-siècle, un petit morceau de la capitale reste fièrement français: le restaurant Mon Plaisir sur Covent Garden's Monmmouth Street est connu comme le plus ancien restaurant français de Londres. Est-il romantique? Eh bien, des dizaines, voire des centaines, de propositions de mariage ont eu lieu ici, ainsi que d'innombrables premiers et troisièmes rendez-vous et des anniversaires. Acquis par les frères Viala dans les années 1940, le Mon Plaisir est devenu par la force des choses un établissement de choix pour la société londonienne avec son charme à la française. Quatre salles avec leur ambiance particulière forment le Mon Plaisir; à partir de la salle à manger principale, inchangée depuis les années 40, jusqu'au au salon avec son bar en étain surmonté rescapé d'un bordel Lyonnais.
