We came for our anniversary meal and it was lovely, haven’t been for a while but it popped back into my head when we were thinking where to go. First visit for my husband he had the carvery which was plentiful and varied, well cooked and tasty (slightly irksome to have to pay extra for a Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blankets they should be included in a roast dinner) but it looked really nice. I didn’t want anything heavy so opted for the hand crumbed southern chicken with skin on fries, this was lovely, very tasty and freshly made (could have used a small salad garnish or cabbage slaw) but still nice. I had the cherry sundae for dessert and my husband had the crumble both very nice. Nice ambience, plenty of seating and friendly staff. I would recommend and we will return.

Perfect pub for a lovely dining experience- beautiful interior with 2 real fires - staff were fabulous , food was clearly freshly prepared and so tasty - we will definitely go back - we took our border collie and he was made very welcome / overall a perfect lunch out , thank you :)

One of the best steaks around. We have been here many times and are never disappointed. The chefs seem to know just how we like them cooked and they come with loads of goodies. Well done team.

4 of us visited 31st Oct 6.30. 2 had sea bass and 2 spaghetti bolognese and wines. The service was excellent and the food fabulous. Nothing not to like. Only minus is that there is no downstairs toilet.
